We booked in this hotel as it stated that it was dog friendly. However no water bowl offered to dog on arrival or during our stay. the dog although very friendly and quiet was not allowed in the breakfast area. I would not call this dog friendly hotel. Our double bed was more like bed/half but ok for 1 night.

Our room supposed to be sea view but it’s like a small extension window that you just about to see the sea the rest is a building. Plus the window has a big cracked.

Lots of noise on our floor during the night, rooms weren't very soundproofed. Could do with blackout curtains as it was very light in the mornings.

Located on the seafront, but far away enough from attractions to be quiet in the evening. Breakfast was lovely, staff were wonderful with our Autistic son and happy to provide Gluten Free alternatives.

Breakfast was served 8-9 and at 8.20 the food, plates and coffee were only luke warm. The shower screen leaked and water soaked the floor and floor mat and needed 2 of our towels to dry it, we couldn't have a bath instead because there are no plugs. Theres no rubber at the bottom of it but by the state of the floor and bath side this is an historic, recurring problem.The shelf over sink and the sink were dirty. Overall the bedding and towels were clean and the bed was comfy. We will mention this at check out if there is someone to speak too but reception was empty when we were at breakfast. This is such a shame as the position of this hotel is great with lovely views but standards need to be improved.

The only downside was the shortage and awkwardness of the parking at the hotel. There is the availability to park free of charge in roads nearby so it wasn't a huge problem.

The staff were all efficient, helpful, polite and friendly. Cleaning was of a good standard. Our room was large with a sea view. Some areas could do with improvement but we were more than satisfied with the money we paid for our stay. The breakfast was exceptional. We would definitely stay again.

It was dirty, the phone to call down had yellow all over it, the kettle was yellow and the original colour was white.

Advertising in the room and around the hotel of services like room service/bar food etc that we was told they no longer have/do. Also room was very dated and had items in need of repair.

The TV size in the expensive room way to small even with my glasses

Start were pleasant and helpful chef was very on the ball we upgraded our room as we were looming at scaffolding we were a bit upset as it cost another £17 but it was worth it to see the sea view. Only moan really was small tv just a bit bigger than a tablet which is odd as we upgraded and TV was much bigger in.lower grade room Allington in all staff lovely and not far from anything. We'll worth a night.or two

Staff friendly and courteous. Room was clean and comfy. Run out of tea and coffee and asked at reception. They brought an adequate stock of tea coffee sugar and milks. Nice breakfast. Overall I'd say not at all a bad place to stay. Ideal as a base to be out and about. This was a midweek stay. Weekends probably a little more lively.
