No lift from ground floor. strange odour in our friends' room. 25 minutes seemed rather long to cook an 8oz fillet steak.

Open fire, comfy seats and couches, friendly and helpful staff. One of the bar restaurants was closed which was a shame, but ate in the bar and had dinner on the 2nd night in the 2 rosette restaurant, both excellent. Sri Lankan curry would feed 2. Had an estate room which overlooked the golf course, more than big enough. Great shower. Breakfast excellent too. A real find and would definitely go back.

The food in the restaurant was very good but as there were only a few people dining it lacked atmosphere, and a little chilly.

Beautiful property and all beautifully maintained and decorated for Christmas. Thankfully no Christmas music! Lovely lounge for relaxing with a glass of wine. Excellent breakfast.

I loved everything, but just to note that those with mobility issues may struggle with stairs and getting about as it is a big estate and hotel but nothing too extreme.

The staff were amazing. The rooms were lovely. We had a pet friendly room in the outer building and plenty of space. The amenities in the room were great including lovely toiletries and teas/coffees/caramel wafers. Even on the day I was unwell and shut myself up in the room with the do not disturb sign up, the housekeeping staff delivered a bag with extra consumables (loo roll, tea bags, etc) for me to find when I opened the door later in the day, which I thought was really lovely. The food in the restaurant was also very tasty for both breakfast and dinner. Location was quiet and peaceful. The fire in the bar was great to sit next to after a day being out and about and enjoy a quiet drink.

Absolutely nothing!

Everything was of the utmost quality. Everyone was courteous and the entire experience was about the best we have had in the UK. Fine dining was the order of the day but the bistro was a more affordable alternative without compromising on quality and service. The hotel is in a beautiful, tranquil setting (even at this time of the year!) and we shall certainly wish to return in spring/summer to take in the beautiful grounds.

The service in the restaurant and also the bar was very slow and we had to chase our meals and drinks. Maybe more staff are needed. Also a little more signage on the road in would be good as a long winding road.

My room and view were excellent. The bar and restaurant were lovely and well appointed to take advantage of the wonderful views. It was also very helpful to be offered some deicer when I was leaving given the freezing conditions.

The room was spacious, warm and comfortable but for the room rate I wouldn't have expected there to be an issue with the flush on the toilet (if we had stated longer that would have been an issue - it didn't flush very well). Missing grouting and cracked tiles in the bathroom also let the room down. A blown light bulb in the bathroom and shades caked in dust also was less that I would have expected for a hotel of Murryhall's calibre.

The room was warm and welcoming. The hotel is in such a beautiful location and was so well decorated. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the fires and surroundings more. I would very much like to come back.
