Lighting in the room is a bit dark. The temperature control is a bit strange - room was very cold but turned it up to 28C before feeling normal, not too warm nor cool. Room is spacious but it feels very empty as there’s no chair to sit on. It’ll make guests more comfortable to have 2 chairs and a small side or coffee table. Shower unit does not have door to stop water splashing all out on the floor. These are minor things but can upgrade guests’ comfort and experience.

The location is excellent, the staff are very helpful and pleasant, room and bathroom are nicely clean and of good size especially nice with high ceiling, bathroom amenities are good, public areas are very clean.

We arrived very late and the night staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, this level of service continued in the morning when we went down for breakfast, which was good value for a London hotel and tasty. The room was clean, had all we needed including a good bathroom and very comfortable bed. The location by Russel Square was great for us.

As an older hotel, the windows let in quite a lot of noise as this is very centrally, located near the square, but I am a light sleeper. Husband slept like a log.

Great central location, elegantly decorated with lots of interesting photos of Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury set. It has charm. Well-cooked breakfast from a menu -(FYI no self-service buffet). Approachable and helpful staff. Would recommend.

The walls are “thin “ , we heard everything from the room next door and were unlucky with loud neighbors. The cleaning staff came late at around 1600 when we already came back to it.

Renovated, albeit with older furniture. New bathroom, nice and spacious. Got a corner suite, large living room with a dining table and chairs. Nice view of the park. Staff very nice, quick check in and out. Nice bar in the sub-ground floor to have a night cap.

A little confusing getting into the building as the reception is downstairs and they expect you to download an app / complete an online check-in for the app key which will def be challenging for those who aren't app savvy.

Great location — a short walk from Russell Sq tube station which made transport to the airport easy. Fairly quiet neighborhood in the evenings. Charming decor inside and fairly new amenities, with a fridge which is rare in the UK. Bar in the basement next to the reception.

The Morton team was very professional and helpful. Lumu and Natalie warmly welcomed us for our 50th anniversary stay. They surprised us with wine and sweet treats and a lovely card and took care of all our needs, making us feel quite special! Ramila and Redouane served us nicely at the library bar that evening. What a great stay!

I have stayed several times at this hotel, and it is always one I choose to come back to. It is beautifully designed, the beds are extremely comfortable, well located at Russell Square, with a lovely large bath! I also appreciate the water and biscuits provided too. The new 'mobile' check-in was easy too. Bijous and luxurious.

the curtain is broken but the hotel couldn't fix it so its either block the windows or hand hold it to see through windows the facility is old the air doesn't work was so hot until I called front desk they turn on the cooler I don't know why they don't just turn it for all the room the ceiling light was broken but the hotel fixed it overall it is over priced I will try other hotel next time in the same location there are better deal and choice

Only one lift, so used by housekeeping and therefore often had to wait. Room was quite noisy at the front side of the hotel, previous rooms (at the back of the hotel) much quieter.

I've stayed here before and it's a very good hotel. Great location for London, handy for my work, short walk from a tube station. Great room: bright, clean, good layout with plenty of space.

Cleaning lady disposing off a full bottle of water which was deposited on the floor, next to the bed. Bathroom door latch would not catch, so the door would only be securely closed if the lock was used.

Pleasant staff, very responsive when approached on any issue. Rooms well kept, as well as the hallways and other common areas. Practical bathroom arrangement with easy to reach hot-rack for drying towels; carefully executed floor inclination for the walk-in shower, insuring no water escapes the drain. Hot water coming on in seconds. Not much street noise penetrating the double windows on the fourth floor (apart from the occasional sirens).
