Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe couldn’t control our own temperature in the room due the controls not working but you only had to phone reception and they would put it up On down on request . You had to close the curtains if you wanted to change in or out of your clothes in the main room as one of the windows was right opposite another building with windows that could see into our room. When we wanted to have one of the windows open we had to wedge a pillow in the gap as it kept sliding down .
The location was perfect for our night out at the Seansea area , just a 8 minute walk . The hotel itself was beautiful inside as well as the looks from the outside. When we arrived pulled up to the barriers and just had to give our surname and was let into the car park . Plenty of space available when we arrived . Reece greeted us at reception and all was very smooth and well explained . Our room was in one of the buildings to the side of the hotel ( which I knew about) . We had got an upgrade for slightly larger room for £15 a night ( again afford to us in advance) . Reece showed us to our room and explained all we needed to know . Very comfortable bed with great pillows and duvet. Plenty of towels supplied , one very large , one normal bath size and one hand towel . Also bath robes supplied . The bathroom suite was enormous and the shower was great and powerful . Shampoo, conditioner , soaps and bath bubbles all supplied if needed. Good tea and coffee supplied and plenty more given if you need and topped up when the room is cleaned . Our view was brilliant although we could see the hills it was partially obscured by back of Sainsbury’s , but not totally unpleasant . Breakfast was good . Plenty of continental choice along with great choice of variety of cooked breakfast . The bar area was lovely and a great choice of drinks . All staff were very friendly and helpful . Reece was so lovely during our stay and also gave us some advice on special bookings if we wished to visit again . Would absolutely stay here again .

United KingdomThe receptionist had to take us out of the main building to adjacent building to our room. Very disappointing. The room was on ground floor and public cars parked close outside which meant it was very noisy at around 2am/3am following pub/club closures.
Central location Parking and Wi-Fi Breakfast was good

United KingdomBasically....it was clean but grubby around the edges. Scuffs on walls and doors ...a bit of Jif would have sorted it. ...glass tables wiped in room but not wiped properly underneath, glass doors into our area all smeared not gleaming.Shame the spec on furniture and soft furnishings had been compromised in beautiful old buildings....IKEA style curtains and cheap dark stained furniture does not make a luxury boutique hotel ! So close to being great ....
Lovely welcome from staff and at breakfast. Actual breakfast good quality ingredients including freshly cooked hot options.Great central Swansea position .. downstairs reception bar has a great vibe.

United KingdomIt was pretty loud and it sounded like people were coming into our room throughout the night - they weren’t, we were just were close to main door that goes outside. Apart from that the place was lush!
It was very clean and our room was spacious. In a nice area and the staff were very polite!

United KingdomRestaurant being closed on Sunday evening meant I had to go out for dinner in the rain or eat in room. Would have preferred to have eaten in the hotel.
I requested and was given an upstairs bedroom with dual aspect windows. Ideal temperature. Lovely staff - Rhys on reception again - always pleasant and helpful. Bedroom perfect. Good selection of pillows.

United KingdomRoom was hot (not always a negative i know), fan provided but not powerful enough. I mentioned to receptionist on check out who informed there is air conditioning available-but operated from main hotel, and not advertised /specified anywhere. Appreciate the Town House is an old building that has been tastefully restored and refurbished, but sound between rooms was easily heard-eg coughing, walking around and talking. Limited plugs when wanting to use hairdryer, charge phone or kettle. Had to unplug table lamp, or move bedside tables to access an electrical socket. As an old building, understand there may have been restrictions during rebuild and change of use, but road noise easily heard and passing people.
The location to city centre, particularly Wind Street and marina for food and drink. On site parking - limited spaces, but there are local authority car parks nearby. We stayed in the Town House. Towels, bathrobe, toiletries , refreshments provided in room. Iron and hairdryer provided. Curtains nice and heavy and blocked light well. Nice bar area in main hotel with good choices. We didnt have any meals so cant comment. Staff we saw all warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming.

United KingdomFirst time ever that we were put in a small room, which was right next to the entrance with people constantly walking past your window. Not the usual standard that we are used to at this hotel.
Used many times before. Lovely hotel and bar.

United KingdomThere was a function on the Friday evening and an exclusive wedding on the Saturday which meant that the bar facilities were not available. This was not a problem for us as we had other plans but it may have impacted on others stay and we did not know this was the case until we arrived. Some comfy chairs in our room would have been nice.
Staff amazing, room very comfortable and quiet, breakfast delicious. Added bonus was the electric charging point in the car park

United KingdomIt was very warm. It was a warm weekend in Swansea (21 degrees, not overly warm to some) but the hallways and rooms felt as if the heating was on and the AC in our room wasn’t working and was controlled by reception.
Lovely building and decor. Centre of Swansea so great in terms of travel connections, shops, bars etc. Was able to get an early check in, the staff accommodated very well. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast- shame they do not offer dinner at the hotel.

United KingdomI did not need to do any work in my room but the desk room for a laptop and all the mod cons was very limited. As I only needed to check emails, it was at worst a minor irritation.
It was an all round excellent stay from the quirky individually named rooms to the helpful staff and finally a tasty and very well presented Full English breakfast.

GermanyThere was very little we didn't like. The up keep of the building seems to be a challenge and this was in some cases very visible. a little more choice in the breakfast would be appreciated and it was not well setup for late comers (one is after all on holiday at the hotel ;-) ) It is often not easy to get a reservation which includes a weekend.
The rooms are nicely furnished and typically large. The beds are very comfy and help for a good night's sleep. Bathroom was also very good. The staff were very helpful and took time with their guests and tried to increase the quality of the stay in Swansea. Breakfast was also okay and with some choice.

United KingdomMorgan's is a hotel from another age - excellent, but a fridge in each room would be good, There was limited knowlrdge of where one could dine in the locality. We used to live in Swansea and knew where to go but a guide on local eating places would help tourists.
We were given a good welcome by all staff particularly in the reception (Ben and Rhys). We had some problems with our room on the first night and the staff moved us to another room for the second night whilst we were out. Our stay was to attend family and friends reunions on separate days and so we had little opportuniy to sample the breakfasts - no evening meal was available at the Hotel. This was a pity because I felt the bar/breakfast room would have made an excellent restaurant. Overall, the decor of the hotel was well done and superbly reflected another era. An extremely interesting place to stay with great character. Parking in the centre of Swamsea was an asset,.
