Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSadly no lift and we were on the third floor 47 narrow steep steps, not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues fortunately our luggage was brought up for us. The air conditioner unit was very noisy and kept me awake and you can’t turn it off.
Very convenient for Kings Cross and St Pancras Station. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was continental in style but nice and the two Coeliacs in our party were very well catered for. We liked the fact that without prompting they advised what they could eat and were offered gluten free bread which they would toast in the oven if requested. We felt this showed a good knowledge of cross contamination which occurs when using a toaster.

United States of AmericaThe room we received was in the basement on the street side. It was beyond noisy. When I say we heard everything, we really did hear everything and not just from outside... you'd think the walls were made of paper. If your a heavy sleeper that doesnt have a problem falling asleep i think your fine, if not id look somewhere else. They could really do with some soundproofing. Our first night we were in the bathroom and because of the noise I'm not quite sure if this happened in our room or someone was playing a prank on their friend but we heard a knock, a door open someone say housekeeping (around 11pm) and whatever door it was closed before we were able to cover up at check if it was ours. It genuinely sounded like ours but bc the bathroom door was closed and the noise were genuinely not sure. I did mention it to staff who were genuinely concerned but I'm not sure what happened there. There is no sign to tell housekeeping not to come in and when housekeeping did come in the next day things were moved that didn't need to be. My toiletries were moved, slippers, etc nothing was taken but prior to housekeeping entering these items were not in the way. The stairs to the basement did not have a handrail. And the window in our bedroom could not be opened due to the view it would give passers by which made our room incredibly dark. The lighting in the room was cool just not enough. When we returned for our luggage the final day the lock code on my suitcase lock had been changed. Again nothing was taken we were able to get it open after 30 minutes of slowly going through every single code but it was just strange. If you know you won't have data upon arrival I would not recommend this hotel, I am familiar with london and actually had a difficult time finding it without data. There was also one night where about 10 men were just outside the hotel with bottles of Alchol and loud music.
The room was stunning and comfortable. If you expect to feel jetlag or foot pain I would genuinely recommend the vaulted bathroom room. I was able to soak my feet after a really long day or just relax in the tub. Staff was lovely You are able to check bags however they hold them at the desk which I found a bit strange because even though staff is at desk 24/7 they are easily accessible to guests as well since the desk is open unlike a normal hotel. You are able to ask for assistance with luggage. The vaulted room was supposed to come with champagne or wine. Ours did not. We did however receive a welcome gift. Quite honestly it was a strange welcome gift in my opinion, vibes well with the hotel I suppose in that aspect but I'm not entirely sure if it was coincidence as the gift waiting was actually something I work with in my career so not quite sure if they look you up before hand as some hotels do look you up before you stay.

United KingdomBreakfast was excellent, and the complimentary tea and coffee in the bar area a definite bonus after a long train journey. Would recommend staying here, the only very slight negative was that as our bedroom was beneath the reception area we could hear walking throughout the night. Not a major problem though.

AustraliaThe room we had on the second top floor was quite small. No room to put toiletries or hang towels.
Great atmosphere and decor. Helpful staff. Good location. Very close to St Pancras and Kings Cross.

CanadaThere was some construction in the area, but did not bother us. No lift so carrying up three flights was not ideal. But not a problem.
Location was central and close to station.

United States of AmericaIt was difficult for my aging mother with disabilities to climb the stairs to our room, as there was no lift. She did make it up, and the staff was kind about helping us with luggage. But I wasn't expecting to be on the third floor with only stairs!
Quirky hotel with a nice selection of whisk(e)ys and decent free light breakfast. Room was tiny but exactly what we needed and were expecting.

United KingdomOnly downside was the boiler which would come on during the night with a humming then tapping noise, I didn't get much sleep, and wake up totally exhausted. We had rooms on different floors, but it was the same on both. The boiler needs fixing immediately.
What a beautiful hotel. The interior was first class, with lots of extra unique designs. Staff are very helpful and the free tea and coffee in the lounge, an added bonus. .

United KingdomThe shower and toilet is always a little cramped, but at least the water is always hot. I would not say that there is anything else that I did not like, as this is my usual "go to" hotel when staying in London.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They now offer free bar snacks! As well as the usual tea and coffee. The balcony that accompanied with this room was also really good. Always good wifi too :)

United KingdomOur room was up some very tight/steep stairs. Not an issue if you are mobile, however may be difficult for some. Air conditioning in the room kept resetting to 25 degrees for some reason so was quite warm.
Nicely decorated hotel. Great location 2 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Our room had nice little outdoor area. Although we didn't use it, downstairs was a very nice looking bar area with plenty of room to sit.

BelgiumOur room was located in the basement, which was unexpected for a rate of 300€ pee night. In addition, because of some works nearby, there was intense noise from early in the morning, even on Saturday morning. That upset our sleep.
The staff was super friendly 🙏

LuxembourgOur room (5) was just under the restaurant so lots of steps above. Area was not the best with loads of junkies in the park in front. Breakfast was pretty poor and not very fresh.
The size of the room was really good and the room was clean and nice.

AustraliaOur room was directly underneath the hall way and even though it was sound proofed very well in general, the footsteps (weight of walking) did come through and it could be a little unsettling during the night for some. It was a very pleasant stay nonetheless.
The hotel is within minutes of walk from King’s Cross station, which was why we chose it in the first place. The atmosphere was cosy and the room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was even offered on site when we check in/out. Shame we didn’t have time to sit down and enjoy a cuppa! Next time then ;-)

United KingdomUnfortunate incident when the lights all went out as we were going to bed. The man on reception tried his best to solve the problem and got one light going. Then, after he had gone we found we couldn’t switch that light off and had to sleep with it on as it was getting too late to wait for further efforts to sort the problem out. Mysteriously at some point during the night that light went out of its own accord but as a result I had to get up for my early train in the dark and in the gloom didn’t notice I had left my reading-specs behind so went off to Europe without them. I understand the problem was fixed promptly next morning after I had left.
Potentially a pleasant stay and a useful base if using Eurostar.

United KingdomThe only negative was where our room was located, which was in the basement underneath the bar/breakfast area. It was therefore noisy, we could hear people walking above and chairs scraping and not just during the day. It was a walk through so could hear people return in the early hours and the staff started getting ready for breakfast at around 5am! For that reason I wouldn't stay in that twin room again but i'm sure other rooms would be fine.
We were 2 friends and had twin room. It was large and comfortable with chairs and table too. Beds were comfy and shower etc were good, had everything we needed. Quirky interior which I thought was fab. Ideal location, few mins walk from King's Cross Station.
