Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTV placed in a different position as we got a crick in the neck watching it sideways whilst laying on the bed. No shower mat, which was a safety issue. We couldn't close the window as blocked off with wooden blocks screwed into the frame. It was lucky that the evening was warm as if it had been raining or cold it would have been a problem. Also, the window caused a problem with noise, scaffolding outside which was a security issue.
Location was quiet and near to Hyde Park. Underground station was nearby. Room was extremely clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was good value for money with a excellent choice of cold and hot food. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

United KingdomThe cleanliness of some things like the wall of the bedroom needed a wipe down, the shower head was all tangled and you couldn’t keep it straight. The remote control to the tv was full of grime and not nice. Clearly had not been cleaned. The lights were a bit grim too. Room very hot couldn’t work heating and too tired to ask reception as it was late and I wanted to just go to sleep.

United KingdomAccess to our room was full of twists and turns, slopes, doors and stairs which might have been difficult with a large suitcase or for the less able. The room itself was very small but ok for a short visit if you’re out for most of the day. It was too warm for us but we were told that the temperature could not be reduced and we could not open the windows. We reported one or two problems with the bathroom which will hopefully be sorted. Beware of the hot radiator as you exit the shower!
The staff were very helpful. There is good access to Hyde Park, the tube network, restaurants and shopping. It is very quiet. The bedding and towels were of good quality.

FinlandFirst night our room was located on a mews side, under the garage. There were garbage bins next to our windows that were emptied during that night. Luckily we were transferred into upper floor on the next day. I felt that everything was a bit broken. Inside pictures of the hotel do not match the hotel overall feeling at all.
