Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI did miss an oven. There was an all singing and dancing microwave. Not used to it.
Helen and Denis gave us a warm welcome. little Ings was perfect, bright and clean. Helen had left us some pastries. Also chocolates and a lovely real fruit drink. it was well equipped. The Market Town was great, easy walk with lovely cafes and pubs. We will be going back.

United KingdomAnother fantastic stay at Little Ings. We’d forgotten just how spacious and comfortable the space was. There’s a few additions since we last stayed including a coffee pod machine. Helen recognised our name when we booked even though it’s nearly two years since our last stay. A wonderful host.

United KingdomAbsolutely lovely little place in the centre of Easingwold. Beautifully tidy and so well equipped. The place was spotless and very comfortable. Helen greeted us on arrival and was lovely. There was milk in the fridge, coffee, and chocolates and croissants/brioche on the bench which I thought was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back!

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn't like and the provision of toiletries was most unexpected.
Such a little gem in the wonderful small town of Easingwold and a good location for exploring the area. Our host had provided fresh orange and lemon juice which we enjoyed whilst sitting in the delightful courtyard on a hot afternoon. We were on an overnight stay and Helen had also gone to the trouble of providing us with croissants and jam and fresh ground coffee for our breakfast.

It was just beautiful! Small space but the layout don’t make it feel small! Tasteful decor and very cosy! Host was amazing! Very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area and would recommend to anyone else too! 10/10!!

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing, couldn't fault it!
Helen was very kind and really happy to help. She gave me the keys and showed me around. It's a self-contained separate building with privacy and comfort. The bed was great, kitchen immaculate and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with anything you would need. the little touch of 2 Lindors in a box on the kitchen and a couple of bits of food if I needed was very kind.

United KingdomParking could be an issue, but a small price to pay for a lovely place and a lovely town.
This little gem of a place was perfect for us, it had everything you required for a stay in the area. It was quiet grest facilities and if you had forgotten anything the town had it all, in particular we liked the local baker's, fantastic bread. We will be back.

United KingdomCan't think of anything.
We really enjoyed our stay in Little Ings which felt like a lovely home from home. Helen was a wonderful host and she has thought of everything. Lots of little extras which made our stay even more enjoyable. Little Ings was very comfortable, very clean, and in a perfect location right in the centre of Easingwold. Some of the big hotel chains should be asking for tips! Thank-you Helen. I'm sure we'll be back. ☺️

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like
Little Ings was perfect, parking was beside the building, ideal location for walking into Easingwold high street where there were numerous places to eat or drink, and lovely little shops to browse in. We had a lovely meal in the New Inn, burger with chunky chips and the rhubarb crumble was delicious. The annex (Little Ings) was exceptional, spotlessly clean, decor was beautiful, everything you needed was there and more, plus Helen had added lots of little extras. It was warm and cosy with a beautiful little courtyard where you can sit outside in the sunshine 🌞, when it comes out, read a book/paper or just watch the birds on the feeders.
