Room was very tired and a bit dirty. Needs some investing to be up to standard. If you forgot your code and your phone died you’d be locked out.

Good price for a cheap taxi into town. Easy check in.

Broken toilet seat dirty toilet brush holder. Broken handle on inside of the main room door kept coming of in my hand. Told the man on reception the one time someone was actually sat at the desk. He said he would be up in 5 minutes to have a look. Bit never came. Old stale tea coffee facilities. Didn't look great with extension cables all over. Shower very small. £150 for the triple room not worth it.

    The bed was huge.

It was not clean, there was used underwear in the closets and the WiFi barely worked, I think it was very expensive to offer that service.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the property and room were very poor. The main window in the bedroom desperately needs replacing. The main table in the room was very unsteady. Generally the accommodation needs some love and attention. The key codes were a bit of a pain to use to get into the bedrooms. We had to call for help to get in on our 2nd night. That said it was dealt with promptly and we managed to get in. The car park surface is very uneven. Be careful in the dark.

The chap on reception when we arrived was very helpful. We had an issue with the first room we were allocated; it was dealt with promptly and we were moved to a different room. Location was great for getting into town easily by bus.

After booking this hotel on one of the hottest days of the year due to the fact it states they have soundproofing and air-con, we arrived to find neither in our room on the top floor and it was like a sauna! We called the host to ask if any other rooms were available to be told that a fan is classed as air conditioning, and if we didn't like the room, then just go home!!!

The rooms were spotless and the bed comfortable but they are the only good points

The location was good! I stayed two nights. There was a problem with the original single room I was booked into, so I was upgraded to a double room which was nice! I stayed in Room 6. It had a walk in shower room and separate toilet. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding was clean! There was loose coffee, sugar and tea in jars, but remember to bring milk as there was none! There were few plug sockets too, so had to move the kettle to the floor to plug it in. Shower gel and soap were provided and there were towels and toilet paper. A bit of a nuisance was the key code for the front door and room, a key would have been so much easier! I stayed Sat and Sun night and there was a very helpful guy on reception until 11pm! A life saver really! No breakfast! That would have been nice as there were restaurants downstairs, the Rampant Lion! And something else! All in all very much better than expected after reading some of the reviews! It was a bit noisy, outside, but not dreadful! 7/10 because of door code and a few floors climb to room! Alright for me, but someone older may have struggled a bit! The loose coffee etc was a bit off putting, luckily I brought my own! Reasonable for the price and location and I would probably stay again! There was also parking and I managed to park every night even though the complex was busy! 😊

I wasn’t very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. There were bits on our towels and hairs in the sink. I also found the bed uncomfortable and the pillows flimsily. The rooms don’t look like what they do online. Ours had also obviously been painted that day as masking tape around the beams- idk know why because there was still paint left on the beams.

The location is ideal for graduation as near the university. My partner liked how it wasn’t staffed so you could just go in- however I do prefer someone being on the front desk. I liked that there was a telly and an ironing board.

There were a few scuffs / marks on the walls that a coat of paint would freshen up, but nothing significant. Room entry is from 2pm. I tried the access code for the room a couple of minutes before 2pm and it didn't accept it. I was not sure if I had the wrong code until I realised I was slightly early, but there was no-one around to check with, but again not a major issue.

Good location and free parking. Any correspondence was always very friendly, helpful and professional. You check in through the main door with a pass code that was sent, and access your room with a second pass code, so I never saw any staff at the hotel. The en-suite looked new (even had the B&Q sticker still on the bottom of the basin pedestal).

There were only a few negatives which could easily be put right. The carpet looked like it had never been cleaned, the bedroom door looked like someone had been trying to claw their way out, the wardrobe doors didn’t move easily, there was damp on the bathroom ceiling and it needed a lick of paint. I have photos - they could easily put these things right

They are so close to having a great property - the room was a good size with a great TV and a comfortable bed - the shower was hot and powerful and the price was great.

Even though it was cheap, I’d expect the bedding to be clean (not with stains) and dusted properly. Also, the walls were thin, so I could hear people very clearly, so didn’t have a good sleep. The pillows were thin and need replacing, which wouldn’t cost a lot for them to do. I don’t expect a high finish on the room for the price, but those things are above are standard

My room was the single bed one. The building had character and it was near the curry mile, so convenient for restaurants and bars. It was a cheap place to stay. It was worth what I paid for it. Be mindful that you get what you pay for, so the quality of the bedding, towels, mattress etc reflects this.
