Inexpensive room for four and clean.

Very odd situation with the lighting, one room had no bedside light and the switch was by the door. The other room only had one of the bulbs working. The bathroom only had one bulb working. It was a two bedroomed unit but had to walk though the other bedroom to get to the bathroom.

It’s a nice period building and would have been grey in it’s day. There were three people in our group and we needed somewhere inexpensive to stay just for one night. We stayed in Room 4. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. It’s on a main road, so there was some noise from that but only to be expected, otherwise it was quite ie no noisy guests. It met our needs.

Expensive for such a poorly maintained room

General lack of maintenance/upkeep. Paint peeling off the walls, single glazed timber windows very noisy and impossible to leave open without them blowing around in the wind, insufficient sockets (extension cables everywhere), room door handle fell off, shower door handle fell off - not a good sign! Unhygienic tea and coffee making facilities - common pots for tea bags, powdered milk, coffee - I don't want someone else's fingers rummaging around my breakfast tea! No staff, no wi-fi.

Excellent location 5 minutes from Manchester Uni, clean room, comfortable bed in a large room, free parking.

The bed creaked every time you moved and was extremely uncomfortable, nothing a new mattress couldn’t solve. The room we had was in the attic not suitable for someone with difficulties getting up and down stairs, however the owner was very accommodating and did look for a room on the lower floor, however it was fully booked.

The room was clean and tea and coffee readily available.

Although I understand it is an old building.. the water pressure was so so bad in the shower it would actually stop running some times. Tv kept switching itself on in the middle of the night and very loud, we had to switch it off at the plug. Coffee and tea are available but no milk. Not keen on jars of coffee and tea as anyone could have had their hands in it. Should have been a single sashes. Tea cups were so tiny that we drank out of the champagne glasses. Very cute window, but it had cigarette ends on the ledge outside, I'm guessing after previous guests Iron had big burn marks on it, so I couldn't use it.

It is located in a fabulous place. Very convenient, keyless room. Free parking outside the premises. Comfortable bed and bedsheets. Great fan in the room

I never met any staff. You get a text with the pin code for the door and another one for the room, but they don't tell you how to find the entrance or to use the room keypad. It was hilarious. At the front is a Chinese restaurant which looks like the hotel entrance. All the guests and staff were Chinese, and when I asked a waiter about the hotel he just waved his arms and said "no hotel, no hotel". then a lady who spoke English told me it was round the back. I got into the hotel OK but then getting into the room is another initiative test as the black thing on the door, which is an electronic keypad, doesn't look like one in the half light, and you have to input a long number the right way to get in. Make sure your phone doesn't die on you (as mine did). Lucky I had written the codes on a bus ticket.

Nice hotel and room once you can find it and get into it. Good value for money.

Confusing safety lock on the door, but managed to work it out after the 5th attempt WI-FI was unusable as it kept dropping out and the signal was not strong enough for Room 5

Location was spot on and a handy car park .... Room was very warm and bathroom was clean and it was a decent shower

No staff to ask questions or clarifications of. Arrived around 10pm and parking was difficult as nobody parked within the bays, patrons of either the restaurant or shisha lounge as by the morning they were all gone.

The bed was comfy, if a little creeky and noisy. The shower was good, hot and had good water pressure even on the top floor.

There was no staff member at reception at any point during our stay and a message sent to the hotel wasn't answered, so if you have any queries, they may not be answered. The pillows were quite flat so weren't super comfortable.

The room was nice and warm, the bed was quite comfortable (apart from the pillows). Check-in message was sent in advance. There is a bus stop near the hotel which will take you into town, and there is a really nice dim sum restaurant on site. There is ample parking on site. The price was very reasonable and the room was a really good size. The hotel is located on a main road so you can hear the traffic but this didn't really bother us.

The shower hose was leaking, the shower door didn't have a handle, toilet flush was broken, towels were dirty, there was no milk for tea or coffee, I had only one pillow in bed which was too flat for my liking. No staff in a front desk and I heard people were struggling with the touch pads to get to their rooms.

The room was small and cozy. Perfect for a single traveller. The bed was comfortable.

Looked very run down, room was cold and some basics weren't completed like fresh toilet roll, no milk for coffees and fresh water jug wasn't refilled and looked like it was just left from how the last people used it.

slanted ceiling on the top floor makes it a very uncomfortable space to move around. the windows were left open, which I didn’t realise until morning, so, a very cold stay in February.
