The only fault I could find was a bit of road noise in the mornings but that was mostly due to the farmers tractors in a hay time frenzy whilst the good weather lasted. So, every thing good/

A fantastic location on the outskirts of the village, with a pub opposite and an artisan bakery on site with a working watermill ! ! Steve and Louise were great hosts and could not have done more for us, highly recommended.

Can’t think of anything - honestly - it was all lovely. Louise and Steve explained everything on our arrival and were always available if we needed to ask anything. Helpful written info/tel numbers of local places in our accommodation too.

We were self catering so got our own breakfast. The kitchen was very well stocked and beautifully clean. We were so comfortable - beds and bedding excellent, lounge relaxing with large tv, books and puzzles, and bathroom superb, and again beautifully clean with pristine white towels. Shower and large freestanding bath. Nothing was forgotten. We liked having good recycling facilities too for food waste and paper etc.

If I had to say something negative it would be that as a tall person (6 ft6in) my head rested on the bathroom ceiling. But it was such a lovely bathroom space that it was no bother.

Liked Everything! It was the perfect place to decompress. A country retreat, a home from home. Excellent location for visiting the areas attractions. Good local pubs for food and drink or just stay in and chill.

It was a lovely space, overlooking the historic mill from the kitchen window! The hosts were friendly and accommodating. And you can buy fresh baked bread from them in the mornings.

Our stay was too short.

It was perfect and met all of our requirements. The shower was powerful and refreshing, home comforts in all areas and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with equipment if you needed to cook. No problems with parking and being able to bring the car right up close to unload on arrival and pack when leaving.

Path from car park rather dark at night. (It didn't bother us as we are used to living without street lights.) No cleaning cloth or dustpan and brush so difficult to pick up the odd crumbs etc.

The lodge is in a stunning location with great access to the surrounding area. Louise and Steve were lovely and friendly and the apartment itself was wonderful. Wells, Glastonbury, Brean, Weston are all very accessible from Wookey and Wells centre can be walked in 30 minutes. In addition to all the great places to visit this means that whether you want to eat out or get food in you have loads of options on your doorstep. Unlike a hotel once you've been out and about for the day it was like coming back and having all the luxuries of home. Loved every minute.

A real home from home. Very comfortable property and a great base to explore Wookey, Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury and the surrounding areas. The property is spacious, very clean and well kept with all the amenities for a comfortable break. Was really nice to have a separate lounge area for relaxing after a long day out exploring.

No real issues. A thick curtain across the front door would be ideal. Some traffic noise but this largely ceases overnight. Freezer compartment of fridge was small but fine for a few nights. Bedroom is a bit of a tight space (we put our bags/suitcases upstairs).

Self-catering unit was extremely warm. Comfortable bed (2 singles together). Hot shower on demand with shampoo/gel included. Across the road from a traditional pub (Cheddar "Gorge Best" and Hopback "Summer Lightning" for the ale lovers). Flour available to buy.

The location the owners were friendly the property was lovely The burcott in across the road is a friendly pub and the ring o bells serves good food. Wells is a 40 minute walk and bishops Palace and gardens in Wells is worth a visit so ie Bath recommend using park and ride to get to the city

Self catering property in excellent location for local sites. Only 2 miles from Wells with Glastonbury, Bath within easy reach. Number of National Trust properties (of interest to us) within the area. Three pubs within walking distance. Well equipped kitchen, very large comfortable bed and lounge area upstairs with 3 seater sofa and single chair, coffee table and large flat screen |TV

There was nothing about the mill that I disliked, it was superb accommodation.

The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mill is in a beautiful place. There was a garden to sit in, which was lovely in the early evening, with dragonflies flying around. There is also a part time Post Office within the mill complex. The owners were very welcoming and helpful , always available if we needed anything.

Dark - the lights need improvement. No welcoming details- tea bags, milk in the fridge, that sort of thing. I have five holiday lets myself and one city studio flat - we would never leave a property unprovided with a cloth to wipe up, kitchen roll, and those little extras that can be so important after a long drive or flight. No one wants to bring their own salt and pepper …

Spacious, good bathroom, comfortable bed, good position for town and visiting friends.
