The staff were helpful, however after the theatre it would have been nice if the bar had been manned

Two of us staying so would have expected more than 3 little cartons of milk - I had to ask for 3 more so 2 cups of tea on arrival 2 cups of coffee after our theatre visit 2 cups of tea before breakfast - so 6 cartons would have been more acceptable Also two paltry little biscuits! (Fortunately I remembered this happened last time so I bought teabags and biscuits!)

    Staff exceptionally helpful

Although warned about being under renovation was a little disappointed by the state of everything. No toilet available for our guests who joined us for dinner. New bathroom very poorly designed- nowhere to put anything down, hang things up, shower sprays onto floor.

Have stayed there many times and has great facilities

Although we didn't have a problem with the renovation and the workers were very friendly and polite, it did make parking a little difficult sometimes and you pay extra for parking. I would have liked more drinks facilities in the rooms milks etc as I like evening and morning teas. Extra pillows would be good please

Very clean, big, light ,smart rooms , big comfortable bed, lovely big hot shower , kind staff. Reading spot lights on the beds were very welcome. Food was very good.

Arrived at 2pm and was told bar is only open in the evening which was disappointing after a long drive. £9 parking charge even though the car park and outside area was full of building equipment. No outside seating and the spa was also closed as being refurbished.

Lovely spacious and clean room. Perfect central location to town.

Despite being notified renovation works were being carried out and communicated by email, nothing was mentioned in reception. At times the reception/dining area/ bar was left unattended causing confusion when guests arrived.

Staff were friendly, especially the lad who served us in the restaurant. Great food too.

Renovation was in progress, so very chaotic. Quite during our stay but I’d imagine noisy during the week when builders would be present? Air conditioning unit not working in our room, so extremely hot and stuffy. Breakfast chaotic, as lack of staff. One poor girl coping on her own. Was very surprised we had to pay extra for parking on the premises, considering it was on the hotel grounds.

Good size room. Clean and newly renovated. 10min walk into town. Parking available. Staff friendly and helpful.

Our room was very hot and the window had a limiter on the opening so it was very hard to keep cool. Immediately I raised the problem the staff put a fan in our room.

We liked the location and the quiet

As mentioned in the listing, the property is being renovated so the price for room and parking seemed a bit steep.

Wasn’t told of car park fee before booking, I probably would have gone with other cheaper hotel which was £88 but 3.5 miles out of town. Central location won it but also had 20 pounds off through booking. Com

We weren't told about the renovations and there being no restaurant and spa before we booked and paid for it due to nothing being on their website or the booking info. After contacting them when we couldn't get through to the spa they did finally change their website and the Booking.com info to inform other future customers. It meant our plans had to change because we weren't able to use the advertised facilities.

The room was a nice size and the bathroom was decent too.

Still having to pay full price despite no restaurant and having to go through a dirty entrance with scaffolding everywhere. Heating not working hence having to use a portable radiator. For a newly renovated room the paint on the bathroom door was flaking off and the furniture was a bit tatty and old.

    Location and bedroom were good.

Currently undergoing renovations so public spaces are a bit unsightly. Had an issue with key card registering in power point. In the end had to have 2 key cards in the socket at all times. No bedside table or shelf on one side of the bed.

Stayed at this hotel previously, great location. Rooms nicely decorated.

Only what we expected due to the restauration, so restaurant not available in the evening and some areas out of bounds.

Helpful staff, comfortable room, scrummy breakfast. Hotel well situated for Salisbury. It was made clear to us from the start that the hotel is under renovation and we look forward to seeing the finished product.

It was difficult to assess with the amount of scaffolding around the building. The car park was more difficult to use due to the work vans and it gave a look of a building site.

I have stayed before the renovation work started and I know how lovely the bar, restaurant, gym and spa is. It was just a shame that none of that was open. Also we weren’t told about no food being served until we went down for dinner, when we were told this, the restaurant was set up for evening meals and also smelt very strongly of freshly cooked food, so we were very confused at this. The price per day for parking is too expensive, £9 per day and on the website, booking.com, it says nothing about paying for parking.

The beds were very comfortable and the location is great

I feel that it is overpriced considering the hotel is going through renovations. I would have thought that a reduced price would be more suitable with free breakfast for all guests. Maybe your hotel should also supply a microwave (or at least a toaster) as there is nowhere in Salisbury to get food from at what is deemed a reasonable time outside of Salisbury.

The location was ok. To be honest the great staff really do make this hotel.
