The mattress on our bed was rather lumpy and needs replacing. As I prefer a firm mattress I didn’t sleep very well.

Lovely bathroom, great decor and very clean. Location was good as easy walk from interchange station. The French ballroom where our dance was held was beautifully maintained and decorated with stunning chandeliers. Plenty of choice of fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet and very tasty cooked to order breakfast.

The corridors are maze-like, and if you have a room in the centre, you will have a view of a narrow central well with other windows (which made opening the window impossible) Plus a lot of pigeons (in the well) cooing throughout the night. It is an old hotel that sadly feels quite dated.

The room was so stuffy! We were able to open the window slightly and go out for the evening so got some air in the room.

If anything a choice of pillows, a thinner one and a thicker one would be nice as I prefer a thinner pillow.

The receptionist Shirley was extremely helpful and really lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her, she had a happy and jolly personality!

Room was a little on the small side and had too much furniture in it - I had to keep moving the coffee table so I could sit down. Room design felt a little dated though the main areas of the hotel were stunning. Unfortunately my key card stopped working a couple of times but staff were always happy to help.

I honestly can't come up with anything!

The hotel is in a great location in the city centre and free parking was included which was a real bonus. It has recently been refurbished and they have managed to maintain the lovely character of the beautiful interior. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and good size en suite. All the staff we met were welcoming, helpful and professional and overall we had a great stay! Breakfast was good quality and freshly cooked - great value! We will definitely return when visiting family again.

The toilets near the dining room looked a bit shabby. One was out of order, the other one had run out of toilet paper.

I likes the comfortabele spaciousness of the room and bathroom. Breakfast was also very nice and with plenty things to chose from. The hotel has a feel of grandeur without coming across too posh.

What a wonderful find! A beautiful hotel that's kept so much of its original charm and character. Very friendly staff. Everywhere was beautifully maintained and the bed was very comfortable. A great bonus of free parking.

The room smelled musty.

This hotel was well situated (a very short taxi ride from the Bradford Interchange railway station) Staff were pleasant. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. Room was clean and had all essential things (hairdryer, ironing board, toiletries) but it was musty - smelt like it hadn't been aired in a looooooong time - and the bathroom drains were emitting slightly unpleasant smells; again, as if this top floor room hadn't been occupied in a long time. I didn't need the conference facilities or ballroom (etc) but they and the lovely old staircases had an air of slightly faded grandeur.

Room very small for a Double. One side of the bed didn't even have room for a table to place water on and there was very little space to move around the bed! We weren't sure whether to have breakfast in the hotel, as one of us specifically wanted Eggs Benedict. I asked at Reception whether this was available and was assured it was - I was told we would just have to ask and it would be made for us - so I booked and paid. Unfortunately, at breakfast the waitress said that this was NOT the case and we could only have the buffet items. These were nice, but not what we wanted......Bar closes quite early, even on a Saturday night, which was a shame as we went back to have a nightcap before bed.

Lovely building and good location for Bradford centre. Parking free and secure, though limited spaces - we were lucky to get a space. Room clean and bed very comfortable - slept well! Quality of breakfast was good, and plentiful.
