We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomUnfortunately the chef had gone off sick, so there was no breakfast available, which was reflected in the cost of the stay being reduced a bit. We were upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the sea as further compensation which was nice, however the balcony doors wouldn't open so unfortuantely didn't get to use the balcony :(

Never judge a book by its cover...The Midland Hotel from the front may look a bit shabby, but honestly a great place to stay. Keith and the staff are so friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to help make your stay there a good one. Definitely stay again.

United KingdomOn arrival i was charged £5 cash deposit for front door entry card, i had to show my booking ref & no need for passport, i felt unusually rushed having to checkin by 6pm without knowing the consequences, i requested 7pm checkin arrival but the reception reply on booking insisted on arrive by 6pm, so i was forced to buy another coach ticket for earlier arrival, i felt there were late arrivals who kept in touch & arrived much later, you need to bring your own soap & shampoos, Communication via booking was only replied to once, & my 2nd enquiry was unreplied, You dont see any cleaners in the morning anywhere around, room cleaning & any room refills, such as tea/coffee/loo rolls, is probably on request, i tried to extend my stay by 2 nights & rooms were available but i was not offered any deals, hotel was too quiet on my stay, the lounge area with disco & kariokee has a little issue with insects on the carpet & tables & chair, but only around the front window area, i was a little surprised on only two visible staff but again it was a quiet period anyway, yes both were keeping in touch with the guests during the day & very friendly indeed, yes the front side of hotel facing the sea is noisy at night with noisy bikes, cars & pedestrians, even on 2nd floor you hear the traffic at night, some of 1st floor rooms are probably double bed & balcony, & some 2nd floor rooms are probably twin bed & no balcony,
Front Reception with WC, Lift for 2nd floor, Room 16 on 2nd floor with great sea view & twin beds & excellent lighting on ceiling & on bedside wall & modern bathroom with shower & i think theres no bath tubs thats what their one & only reply suggested to me, i booked on Midland but my payment & room allocation shows Monaco, looks like its one entry for both hotels, for breakfast i chose veg options, such as cornflakes, milk, orange juice, fried eggs, toast, butter, beans, hash browns & large pot of either hot tea or coffee, hotel bar was only open on sunday evening with good prices on drinks, theres all day music from the past in the lounge until 10pm, the large windowed lounge provides great views of the promenade or public walking area & the wide sea front & the hotel is right opposite the ramp thats used for lowering water bikes or boats into the sea, i was treated to spectacular views one morning with good sea tide & many water sports activity such as many water bikes & boats & cars towing various activity equipment.
