Fabulous cottage, beautifully presented, a great mix of modern and character. The host was very welcoming and it felt like you were staying in someone’s much cherished home. The area is lovely, plenty of walks, wildlife, cafes. We will definitely return!

The car parking is to the rear of the property and the lane is in need of repairing so we were worried about damage that could be caused to the underside of our car whilst trying to manoeuvre in and out, although there is parking to the front if you can get in.

This is a beautiful cottage with lots of lovely little touches to it. It is quite a walk to the nearest shop on quite a steep hill. The nearest pub is just a little further than the shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we have a Springer Spaniel, so we enjoyed the plentiful areas to walk and as a bonus the pubs are dog friendly so we got to call in for a couple of drinks after our walks.

Access to the car port with the car was a little difficult as the lane is narrow and not made up, but we parked with no problems at the front of the house on Mount Pleasant

It was warm and comfortable with plenty of space in and around. It was dog friendly. Well situated for everything in Arnside. The information in the house was excellent and the host available in case of problems.

Mews Cottage is a small 2 bedroom cottage, perfectly adequate for our group of 4. Whilst small it has been beautifully designed. A bijou kitchen with quality fittings and a nice dining table. The bedding was quality and the beds comfy. The conservatory was the perfect place for our dog. The whole property is well furnished and easy on the eye.

Would have been helpful if heated towel rail had worked. I’m guessing only heats up when heating is on. Also a nice touch would have been a box of tissues in each of the bedrooms. Other high end cottages I’ve rented have provided a welcome pack e.g milk, biscuits, dog treats, wine.

Superb cottage well appointed and clean. Comfy beds and plenty hot water. Good Wi-Fi and tv’s and great selection of books to read. Loved the conservatory which was really useful as our dog travelled with us. Generous supply of towels, toilet paper, kitchen roll and cleaning products/toiletries. Off street parking was very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

A beautifully presented cottage located an easy distance from The Lakes. From the moment you walk in you will know this was a good choice to stay. Immaculate with high quality furnishings and fittings throughout, the beds are amazingly comfortable and there's plenty of room in both bedrooms. The kitchen has been designed to a high specification. Chill in the conservatory or enjoy the relaxing back garden. We visited The Lakes on most days due to the easy distance and you're only an hour from Blackpool if you want something livelier. There is also private, undercover parking at the end of the back garden. So easy and so useful. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and has clearly spent money making this property what it is....which is amazing. We would highly recommend staying here for a holiday and it deserves the 10 score rating we've left.

Beautiful cottage close to the Lake District. Nicely decorated and furnished so we directly felt like home. It was very well equipped with a small beautiful garden that could also be enjoyed at lower outside temperatures due to the conservatory. Lots of useful hiking guides and interesting books. Dog-friendly accommodation.
