We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomNo dislikes. The main entrance to the spacious private parking was a little tight for larger vehicles but an alternative side entrance was large enough to accommodate any vehicle. Advise notifying the owner if you’re travelling with a Mobile home or trailer.
An out of town quiet picturesque location. Spacious accommodation with a quality feel. Separate large lounge diner with a real home feel open to guests only. This is virtually exclusive as the owner seems normally to let only one or two rooms. Of particular note The beds, pillows and bedding were of the highest quality comfort and cleanliness. Our Hostess Gillian was extremely attentive yet allowed us a high level of privacy, she went far beyond to meet our every need. We would like to thank her publicly for every moment.

Bedroom was very well appointed - spaceous with a large, comfortable bed and nice linen. Gillan is a very personable and engaging host. Her breakfast (a surprise as the Booking.com details implied that there was no meal option) was tasty and much appreciated.

We had requested an early check in as we were attending a wedding nearby . Gillian welcomed us at 12 noon . The room was a traditional farmhouse bedroom with a very modern shower room and a lovely big comfy bed. We were given a key to let ourselves in after midnight. Gillian had set a lovely table for breakfast and we had a choice of menu. Gillian was a perfect host and I would not hesitate to recommend Maxwelston Farmhouse

A farmer's wife, mother and most attentive and intelligent hostess who's infective enthusiasm affected the entire experience at this delightful homely accommodation blessed with 5* quality. A very busy working farm provides an authentic setting in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. A memorable visit that restored my faith.

United KingdomI wouldn’t say it was a dislike maybe more of a suggestion which would be to have tea/ coffee making facilities in the room and preferably a dressing table which would be really helpful for us females to get ready. But it really wasn’t a hindrance as there was a perfectly good mirror and space to do this in the shared bathroom. We were very lucky to have sole use of this during our stay. X

Warm welcome from Gillian. Huge room and separate bathroom in lovely old farmhouse in the hills of Ayrshire. Hot water, lovely bath and toiletries and fluffy towels. Offered to make up a fire for me in the guest lounge. Comfortable bed. Provided decaffeinated tea, fruit, choice of yoghurt and toast with marmalade for breakfast. Quiet location but only 10 to 15 minutes from Girvan which has a parkrun, lovely cafes and shops. Beach and seaside walks at Girvan too.

United KingdomGillian is a very personable host and maintains very high standards. Large bedroom was warm and inviting. Included an en-suite which looked very new and very clean. The TV room was downstairs encompassing the dining area. Fabulous open log fire and very comfortable. All furnishings and decor were to a very high standard and appropriate to the old farm house building. Veggie breakfast was brill including the best poached eggs ever. Would certainly stay again.
