Lack of attention to detail - no bin, bedside lamp or toilet brush, only one teabag for double room, limp shower pressure, no art on the walls and no information offered by reception on arrival. Eg WiFi code, what to do if arriving back late or ordering breakfast etc. Need to cut down that diseased tree in garden! Scruffy plastic and tape over smoke detector in room.

Comfy bed, nice duvet and pillow, TV and tea/coffee in room, great view, nice curtains.

The place was ok.. I didn't try the restaurant so I can't say. The room could do with s massive revamp. The keep on the door was very loose indeed, so loose the door would not lock,and couldn't be repaired by the staff. So I was moved to another room whe the keep wasn't much better. Apart from that all was OK

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding, both nights shortage of staff caused delays in drinks and food service. Night before one person waited 1.5hrs for food after we had sat. Food portions were silly, pasta dish for adult was same size as child's, steak was well cooked when asked for rare and re bought out more cooked as run out of steak, and others food was cold. Was given it all for free as most didn't eat, and we ordered in Pizza.

Zero water pressure. Couldn’t even shower. Service in restaurant and bar was very slow.

Easy place to stop on way to London. Had restaurant for easy dinner.

The bar staff tried their best but finding a properly cleaned glass was problematic. Maybe a new dishwasher needed. Toast and champagne glasses were sparkling just the others weren't.

Superior room was apparently larger than standard but though renovation of some rooms is ongoing (apparently) the decoration of this was tired. Shower did not work and though moving us to another room was considered, this was not possible as the hotel was full. New owners appear to be trying to upgrade everything and this is needed.

The room was rosting hot so we tried to turn the radiator down when spoke to customer service they came and couldn't do anything So eventually we had to move rooms The other room had a broken window but didn't bother us

We were in the annex ,the entrance looked very poor and the doorway was full of cobwebs and dirt.. the walkwsy to the annex wss very runbdown. All needed TLC.

Not very clean, and although the bathroom appeared quite new, a few features were damaged. The shower was covered in timescale and mould, and the toilet had been used and had urine splashed on the seat. The kettle was filled with water, with sediment in the bottom. The fire alarm went off at around 5am, which didn't make for a great night sleep.

Lovely property in a nice location. The gardens are well kept. Large car park. Large bath with a powerful warm shower. The staff were very friendly.

In our room the shower screen could do with a good clean the shower wasn't the best the water just dribbled out of it we wasn't to botherd as we had a bath only to fined out the plug part didn't seal properly so the bath water would run away after 10 minutes. Bathroom tap was lose and rusting a little. Glasshouse could do with a window clean and some windows open.

Room was cosy. Bed was really comfy. Location was nice, Staff were nice. Room had nice TV and wee unit plus built in wardrobe.

Arrived about 6pm but our room wasn't ready until 7pm. We had to ask for towels and a Loo roll. Food was good but drinks were expensive. Drinks list of items they didn't have.

Ideal location for where I wanted to be the next morning.

Minor gripe, but lack of any sockets to accept usb charging cables was surprising and irritating.
