We were on 11th floor and 1 of the 2 lifts were out of service.

The apartment was generous size, very clean, included towels, coffee etc. It was easy to find from the tube station and perfectly located for our trip. There were lots of shops and cafes on the doorstep.

My bed was a bit lumpy and noisy. I am sure I have said before a coat hook or stand near the front door would be useful, given how much rain London has.

It was my fourth stay at the building, always a different apartment. The best part of each stay is the staff on the 24 hour front desk. The apartments are always clean and quiet.

The only real criticism I have is the uncomfortable lounges which can only seat 2 people in a 2 bedroom apartment. There were four of us staying there so that made sitting down and relaxing a bit difficult. Other than that, we loved our stay and have just re-booked to stay there again at the end of our European trip.

Great location, it was so easy to jump on the tube at Aldgate East and go just about anywhere we wanted. It is walking distance to Brick Lane and all of it's wonderful restaurants, and Whitechapel itself is a real revelation. There are also plenty of other eating options within a short walking distance.

The lounges are all sofa beds and are not very comfortable. Not always being able to leave bags until check in is also not great.

The location was amazing. The apartments were great, had everything we needed. We loved our stay here and would recommend Marlin Apartments to friends.

The only thing to note is lack of aircon, though large fans are provided. So this could be problematic in very hot weather, though what I do like is that you can open the windows, whereas nearby more pricey hotels I’ve stayed in have aircon with the downside that you can’t open any windows. Once I stayed in an apartment here where the water pressure was terrible, but the helpful staff member moved me to a better one immediately. There is no coffee machine provided but they do provide a cafetière and some nice coffee for free.

Really spacious apartment, I have stayed with Marlin Aldgate a number of times now for work trips to London and I am always pleased. They are not super modern but they are perfectly adequate and have well kept bathroom and kitchen with a handy dishwasher included and most apartments have a bath as well as a shower which is an option I like. I always find the apartment to be clean. Some of the higher apartments have fantastic views from large windows and once I got an upgrade to one with a really nice balcony. I love that you can open the windows and get fresh air. The location is great, near to the underground (especially Aldgate East station, with Aldgate very near to that too), an organic supermarket, pubs, cafes etc. It has a decent reception area and very friendly staff.

There was not enough comfortable seating for the 5 of us. There was no water from 8pm til 2am the first night we stayed and were not told of this planned outage by the staff. There was an A4 note in the lift but that stated it would be out from 10pm til 12am. Luckily we spotted the note so could kind of plan ahead and popped to the shop for some bottled water so we could brush our teeth and make a cup of tea etc. Apartments provided us with a bottle of water but that wasn’t until the next day when the water was back on??? Clean and tidy apartment and plenty of room in the living room but only 1 2 seater sofa. Supposed to sleep 6? There is a dining table and 4 chairs but who can relax whilst sitting on a dining chair?

Our room had a noisy boiler in a built-in closet. We were also lacking essentials like paper towels and extra trash bags.

The location was excellent, close both to metro station and bust stop. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious. Most importantly, everything was tidy and super clean.

Only thing I can pick up on is maybe more milk sachets ( I like a tea before bed after a night of drinking and when we get up but wasn’t quite enough for 4 people) Also the only sofa is quite a good size maybe for 3, but as it’s a sofa bed it’s a bit gappy at the back and I can imagine with kids or a bigger family there wouldn’t be enough seating . Didn’t matter for us though

Great facilities , amenities and comfy beds, very spacious and clean , nice big windows and balcony . It was great location dir exploring nearby Spitalfields and Shoreditch and some lovely rooftop bars and good vibes within walking distance, a nisa convenience shop is next door and Burger King just over the road. We had a great stay !
