To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomIt’s not that I didn’t like it but I thought the breakfast was not good value for money. It was a continental breakfast at £15 each. There was no cooked breakfast option and I thought it was too expensive for what you were given.
Location was perfect. Staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and progressional. The room was perfect - big, great amenities and on the ground floor so perfect for my elderly mum who has mobility issues.

Beds really comfortable, rooms spotessly clean, staff all extremely welcoming - we loved it! Shower brilliant, bathroom gleaming! Kitchenette was perfect - all bowls and things provided, too!

United KingdomMarlborough House was homey and felt very warm and welcoming. Very generous sized room and lovely kitchenette and great bathroom. Many nice little touches giving it a lot of character. Great staff who helped me with my luggage and called me a taxi when I left. Out of the busy tourist centre of Oxford but only a short walk to the lovely Summertown cafes and restaurants. There is a direct bus into the city just across the road. Also handy for canal walks and strolls on Port Meadow. I will be back. Especially nice for solo travellers.

The family room we chose was very nice. Everything was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The location is nice. It’s a short walk to summer town where there’s lots of restaurants and shops and a short bus ride into Oxford city center. The bus stop was right outside the property entrance.

Spacious, clean room, well equipped with a microwave and crockery/cutlery. Great location to catch the bus into Oxford. Near the Oxford canal, which is a nice place to walk. Even though we had a room overlooking the road it was not noisy. Great to have parking on site.

We loved everything! From the holistic atmosphere, to the quiet & peaceful area. They had a backyard to relax in (wish we would have stayed longer to experience the backyard). Truly comfortable beds, and the water pressure was great. The lady at the counter (apologies for forgetting her name) she was so kind and down to earth. She was very helpful. If we ever go back, we will be staying here again! Parking was right in front of the building, felt safe and well lit. We arrived after check-in hours, no issue at all getting keys and access to our room. 100% recommend to stay here! Very close to Oxford, less than 10 minute drive to the University.
