Friendliness of staff. Location.

We booked a double room and this was what we were initially offered. The room was clean, well decorated and had an excellent view of the golf course, but the standard double bed was smaller than we are used to, so I asked if another room was available. The staff were exceedingly helpful and arranged another, equally good room, with a larger bed. Overall the staff was friendly, curteous and helpful.

We were welcomed as soon as we stepped into the lobby of the hotel, by friendly polite staff. The property is well maintained to a high standard and staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are well dressed and very clean & tidy, and well equipped with good quality tea/coffee/biscuits as well as a mini bar. At check-in we were advised we’d received a complimentary upgrade to a larger, plusher room with a sea view, and in the room they had provided some free Prosecco in a an ice bucket, along with a card containing a hand-written message from the hotel - a really special touch for my husbands birthday. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful - everything made fresh and brought straight from the kitchen on a warm plate.

The wait staff in the bar was always standing around chatting causing very slow service.

The room was a bit dark, pokey and a bit pricey for what it was. The pastries at breakfast were terrible, breakfast in general could be improved

Bar was busy & noisy at night because of a group of golfers. Not the hotel's fault, but perhaps they needed to be reminded to keep it down.

Staff were professional yet friendly especially Joan in bookings and the young staff in the dinning room. Food was delicious in the dining room and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay with friends and would recommend it to others.

The reception desk was tucked in a corner not visible on arrival. The girls on reception were getting a real draught from somewhere but uncomplaining with it.

Excellent variety of cereals, yoghurt, and a wonderful cooked breakfast.

The bed was really small and the room was very small. But we were just happy to have somewhere to stay after our original accommodation left us high and dry! Also, £35 per dog per night is a little steep... But overall, we really did enjoy the place.

It was so nice. The decor, the staff, the food (do not get me started on the food!), the bed comfort... I couldn't fault it.

Could have better selection of local gins at the bar. Breakfast was poor. Felt like the hot food was cooked in advance and not served fresh.

The Rabbit restautant food and the bar food in the evenings, were exceptional.

Breakfast included hot and cold options - all really tasty. Bar and restaurant were lovely spaces to relax in. Views amazing and right next to the beach. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

We started with a morning escape spa package which was amazing. Location is beitiful and the lesure wasn’t overly busy with set times for family swims On checking in we were meet by Gordon who showed us to our room which had the most stunning view of the beach and the Ayrshire cost My 40th birthday suprise from the staff was a beautiful kind gesture. We will never forget this experience
