United StatesIt’s a double-edged sword: it’s so accessible (yay!), and it’s near a road busy in the daytime. Luckily, the traffic is almost nothing at night, and we enjoyed our room with windows wide open to the night sounds.
What a charming inn! The wall paper, art, furniture, and layout all contributed to a feeling of comfort and delight. We appreciated how private our room felt, but we could easily find companionship in the fire lit room or bar/game area. What lovely, old trees to behold, too!

Emily & James are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, the food was exceptional, the location is perfect for touring the Trossachs & an ideal location for our trip on the Jacobite express. As there are three vegetarians in our group, James treated us to a superb wild mushroom Risotto. Emily looked after us like her long lost family, and what better way to relax after an evening meal than in front of a real log fire sampling the treats from the bar. United KingdomNothing really! If we were being picky the following would have taken it from a ‘good' to ‘excellent' rating The bedroom decor was a little dated and would benefit from a paint refresh. The shower pressure was very low and therefore hard to maintain the water temperature, and the towels were a bit thin and a very small. The layout of the room was a little odd too, with the mirror in an awkward place.

Mansewood is a lovely guest house in such a picturesque location! It's quaint and comfortable with a lot of love put into it by the owners. James took care of us during our short stay, he was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and James even recommended some things to do nearby. We had such a great stay, would definitely recommend to others and would also return.

The best accommodation we had throughout our whole trip to Scotland! Emily and James make sure you are missing nothing, perfect hosts! The breakfast was excellent (really recommend the Shakshuka, though more traditional options are available), the rooms super-comfortable and the whole house has such cosy vibes. Also excellent base for exploring the area. We chose to drive quite far to hike Conic hill (100% recommended) but Emily and James also have plenty of recommendations for the area.
