Only slight negative for us was room 67 location meant that there was quite a lot of loud external noise, including early morning.

Very clean and modern rooms. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Fantastic location for town centre. Good parking. Pleasantly surprised with room size as we had chosen smallest double room option.

one light bulb was broken and also there was no pool or spa facilities.

The front of house team who gave us an upgrade, and treated me with some lovely chocolates as it was my birthday.

My room was above the terrace outside the hotel bar (at the front of the hotel) which meant there was some noise from other patrons in the evening.

We travelled from Shropshire visiting our children in Guildford. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, our executive room was upgraded to a Deluxe room - superb) for free, and we had a good night's sleep. Had the best shower ever in a hotel room. Good breakfast and hotel in a really good location. The staff are very attentive, helpful, and full of smiles. The lady that was on duty in the breakfast room today- 24/02/2024 was exceptional. Joyce, Arvt & Pujab were so helpful. We will stay at the Mandolay again and recommend it to our friends.

One size double bed in all rooms. Like a starter double bed. Too small for us to be comfortable. Executive triple room too small for 2 adults and an 8 year old. A double bed and a single bed. Great, but fits in the room only because of small double bed. Noisy neighbours. Expensive pre-booked car park. £20 per night I thought was excessive considering the amount paid for the 3 night stay in the first place!

Location. Easily walkable into Guildford Town Centre. Hotel room had ironing board, iron, hair dryer, plenty of hanging space for clothes. Decent enough tea and coffee and a decent nespresso style machine - we did have to change ours on the first morning after finding out it didn’t work. But hey ho. They replaced it that morning after we reported it. Breakfast did a good full English. Continental was ok with croissants and rolls and a small selection of cheese and meats. jams and honey although disappointing was the lack of strawberry jam. (Just the best with croissant!). Decent selection of beers in the bar. Evening meal was a pretty good menu. Creamy garlic mushroom starter was delicious!!! Burger and Thai curry also fabulous!!

Overall good! Staff were friendly upon check-in and check-out. Well locationed. Would recommend if needing a short stay near Surrey.

The bathroom did not have much shelf space to put your toiletries.

The staff at the breakfast room ws very friendly and helpful. There was a great selection of cooked and continental breakfast. The room was spacious (family room) with comfy beds. Parking was no problem, which was a big plus.

The only thing I’d mention, is that for that size/type of room and price you pay you would expect a much bigger bed. I would say the bed was the same size as other smaller rooms. It would just be a nice perk and what other hotels have. Layout of the room was a little weird too. With the tv in the corner you couldn’t really watch it from the bed. No dressing gown or slippers, would also be a nice touch, and although there is room service there was no menu in the room. A suggestion to the hotel, have a set breakfast menu for the people that want room service. It was a little confusing to order not knowing what the options were and what I ended up with was not worth £14 😅

Location is great, just 5 mins walk down into town. Plenty of restaurants close by. The room was so big, very clean, fridge, coffee maker (which was a bit temperamental) and nice bathroom. The lady who checked me in was so incredibly nice, even showed me to the room.

The initial room allocated to us had not been prepared and we had to change to a smaller room. In the replacement room the sink would not retain water (plug did not work)⁸

I booked 2 basic rooms. They were very basic, clean and small. So done the job but small things needs touching up like shower frame. Lighting is very low.

Staff are friendly and accommodating. Beds were firm.
