Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough we liked the hotel, there were two main things that spoiled our stay; 1. Our room had an adjoining door to another room. The occupant next door was really noisy and we could hear all of the noise through the door so this disrupted our sleep. 2. The aircon didn’t work and the room was sweltering which was bad timing with the heat wave
The property was very unique and modern. We liked the style

United KingdomThe trend of these type of hotels is to have a trendy bar, karaoke on the TV but to completely remove some of the stuff I really need from a hotel like to be able to contact reception, order room service (even though there is a restaurant you can't order room service), a wardrobe to store my clothes etc. Style over substance.
It is a great location. It was clean. The staff were mostly really lovely.

United KingdomDuvet cover was exactly the same size as the bed so once two of you were under it, it was nowhere near big enough. It felt quite thin and thought it wasn’t going to be thick enough but it was fine. There was a LOUD buzzing in the room during the night but it had gone in the morning so maybe a light outside the window or something? Who knows. But it was LOUD.
Design/ambience of hotel and room were great. Cleanliness was high. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

United KingdomWe booked our stay through Booking.com. One of our rooms was a large family double. We had requested and had confirmed a cot in this room. Upon arrival we were told this was not possible due to health and safety and had to change to a much smaller room. On checking out we were given a refund of £50 as the smaller room was cheaper but the refund given was only for 1 night not the 3 we had booked.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices including GF options

SwitzerlandThere was a low buzzing noise in our room. It was coming from outside. The TV did not work well at all. We had to unplug it several times, these were the instructions given to us. Half of the time this did not work.
Atmosphere was fun and lively. Great location. Comfy rooms. Wonderful staff. Good food and overall vibe in the restaurant.

United KingdomNothing was bad. But maybe the bar could have stayed open later on Saturday night - we thought we could go back for drinks after the wedding we were at finished (11.30pm) but the bar was closed.
Location was great - right in the middle of hackney so where all the action is and steps from broadway market, london fields, columbia road market and endless cafes/bars/restaurants

United KingdomOverall our stay was great and we would return, however our TV didn't work, but we weren't fussed enough to call reception for support. The bed was comfy, but the duvet was small - upgraded duvet would've put our room at a 10/10.
The hotel decor is fabulous. Friendly staff. Spacious room with great amenities. Fabulous breakfast options with a lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room and lobby area. There is no designated hotel parking, but we found parking on the street directly behind the hotel (Coate Street) via YourParkingSpace for £40 for two days. We felt the car was safe and would park here again. Gorgeous stay and would use again.

SpainWhen booking I didn’t clock that it isn’t actually in Shoreditch - contrary to what the name of the hotel suggests. It’s in Bethnal Green not far from Columbia road. Something to factor in if you need to access the City easily.
