The walls are quite thin between the rooms and the guests next to us were quite noisy banging around at 1am so it took us a while to get to sleep.

The property was pristine and ultramodern, love the little touches down to the coffee station/water. Was great to have a smart TV which we where able to login to Netflix etc

Located on busy roundabout: junction of local roads. Only food options locally fish & chip shop nearby and spar shop at petrol station; no plates or cutlery in room to facilitate bringing food in; had to ask local pub if I could eat fish & chips there.

Everything was perfect, if I had to put a thumbs down it would be the view, which can’t be helped in a village!

It was very spacious, and is actually just like the photos. Very friendly owners, who were polite and helpful. Shower was a definite positive. The description ‘waterfall’ shower is a perfect comment. Water came out nice and softly with good force. Highly recommend for the price. Would look for this property again.

Gary was brilliant and sent an info booklet pdf before arriving which was useful, he was easy to contact on email if we needed anything. We were in room 3, bed was more than big enough for the two of us. Nice apartment, Lots of pubs nr Harbour and supermarket was close by and a great chippy! Number 11 restaurant in centre definitely recommended, food was great and good price. Coffee etc, iron, hairdryer, towels, shower gel, wine glasses, smart TV, all essentials provided at apt.

The keypad is a bit of a daunting prospect. If you're a sole traveller as I was and you forgot to take your phone and didn't mentally remember the 2 different codes to get back in, you're knackered. There's no number to call in case this happens. If you don't have your phone and you've no idea what the codes are, you are screwed. I think there needs to be some form of contingency in place. A ring door bell that goes straight through to the owners/managers would work a treat. When I was just about to fall asleep, I did notice a long black hair on the pillow at the side of me. This is something that can't always be helped, and I appreciate this. We are humans, after all, but it was a bit gross. But when you look at how clean the rest of the room was, you can honestly justify it as an oversight as the room was impeccably clean. The window was locked shut in the bedroom, meaning it was a bit stuffy, but after speaking with Gary, he said they are looking to get fans for guests so I can't see this being an issue for anyone reading this review as he seemed like a proper stand up guy. My last remark is that the bed was smaller than I thought it was. I am a big guy, and if I were to have brought my wife, we would not have fit on the bed. It was rather creaky, and I was worried that I was going to break the duvan base.

Very cosy room, nicely set out. Hot chocolate and bottles of water on arrival. The room looked clean and tidy, the bed was nicely set out, and it did have a good over atmosphere about the place. It was nice and quiet and I didn't hear the other guests. The bathroom was nice. There were shower gels, conditioners, and bodywash in a despenser, which didn't seem to be cheap crap, but actually smelt quite nice. The TV was brilliant. I could sign into Netflix by scanning the QR code on my phone. Two free bottles of water and hot chocolates, etc, on arrival oh, and some biscuits aswel. Banging. I only had the water, but it was a nice touch. Ironing board, small travel iron, hair dryer, coat hangers. I mean, you guys have thought of everything. It was nice walking in seeing it all. Not having to worry where to hang my clothes up or worry about my clothes being creased. I honestly think if you guys dealt with the contingency for getting locked out and put a fan in there, I would have given you 5 stars. But on this occasion I give you a 4.5 stars outa 5. For the amount they charge, this is honestly a hidden gem. Thank you again for making me feel so welcome, and thank you for the constant due diligence and updates. If I ever need a place to stay in this area again, I will be back

It was vey clean and modern. The en-suite bathroom was vey modern and the shower was amazing. The one thing that it lacked was a little fridge. I had WiFi trouble but was resolved in minutes by the owner Gary. There were 2 pubs over road so a perfect location. We stayed for one night was it was well worth money. The property was an old pub converted into rooms and was very quiet. Will stay there again

Absolutely nothing not to like !!

The property was just fabulous. Although located on a main road and outside a roundabout there was no need to be concerned. There was no noise whatsoever. Instructions on how to enter the property was provided and was easy to follow. The facilities were outstanding, clean and comfortable and a really good night's sleep was obtained. We travelled by bus from Whitehaven to the property which again, was simple, straight forward and easy to find. For next year, this will be the FIRST location we will choose. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
