Self service breakfast is a bit too self service.. Considering the standard of hotel and the price. Table service would be more in keeping with such a hotels standard.. As with many buffet breakfasts the quality is generally not great. Overcooked food sitting for some time.

Location. Very grand. Receptionist very efficient. Housekeeping found and returned an item of property I left behind after departure. Well done Housekeeping.. Big rooms. Comfortable.

Too hot - no fan or air con, no water in the room, brekkie was Luke warm, rock garden needs to be managed and up and running and would be stunning

Small thing but we told the hotel and restaurant we were celebrating a huge life event and neither did anything to recognise it

Beautiful building and grounds. Huge gorgeous room and amazing shower. Loved the spa facilities. The reception staff were lovely and managed to convince the restaurant to fit us in for dinner despite being quite full.

The pool times for children need changing in the morning. It doesn't give enough of a window to have a leisurely breakfast and time for a swim. It's a real shame. My daughter was very disappointed. And only an extra hour would rectify this. There was no one even in the pool.

Amazing location. Incredible main building. Very beautiful historic place . Great interesting history to the place. Made 10 x better by Chris, a tall handsome gentleman in a top hat . What a credit to this place he was. He was amazing with my daughter, unbelievably knowledgeable about Luton Hoo Hotel. Telling brilliant historical stories. A NOTE TO THE OWNER. Whatever you pay this man DOUBLE IT.He made our stay. I really can't say enough about him. All the staff were great.

The restaurant service. For a restaurant with its aspirations of grandeur, the service didn't match quite match the standards of the food and the surroundings. Nothing major, waiters not knowing who had ordered which dish. At breakfast, dishes not heated. Salt and pepper not being laid on the breakfast table and instead of grabbing it from the empty table next to us, the waiter ran to get them from the kitchen. Also, the rooms are massive, so why only a 5 foot bed? The bed in our friends room was much larger.

Quite possibly the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything about it was gorgeous from the massive tapestries to the gorgeous grounds to the exquisite food.

I arrived after a day's work and was disappointed not to be able to order a drink indoors before table booking at 8.30 due to the golf club bar closing and being told to take our drinks outside. We had previously stayed in the main building, perhaps due to booking the Werhner restaurant for dinner, and preferred the room there. I had to change our booking and it took a few emails to change the date.

Easy check-in. Comfortable spacious room. Lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere at Adam's Brasserie. Beautiful Gardens to stroll around in a peaceful setting. Even saw the resident peacock. A wonderful breakfast in Werhner's Restaurant. Service from all the staff was impeccable. .

Difficult to exit the property to pick up the walk again and we ended up climbing through a hole in the wall as the bridle path was closed. The room had t been properly serviced and the crockery for afternoon tea was dirty

The location is just off Lea valley walk, not that anyone at the hotel was aware!

Rooms are dated, communal areas look tired. Buffet breakfast felt a little chaotic - guests’ table & chairs too close to food serving areas.

Beautiful mansion house, Werner restaurant very opulent. Amazing grounds to wander around. Very friendly, professional staff throughout hotel. Good value stay for historic, country house.

The rooms are not sound proof- We found this unusual. Hearing loops/similar system needed for hard of hearing guests in reception and dining areas. Wifi and mobile phone signal poor in areas. Poor Wi Fi meant hearing aid not work for most of time.

The view from room was lovely. We liked the grounds, the large clean spacious rooms, the spa facilities and breakfast were excellent, the staff were all amazing. This is a lovely hotel.

Staff rather aloof. It would have been nice to have a few common courtesies. On checking out staff member just took our room key off us. No ‘have you enjoyed your stay? ‘ or ‘safe journey home’. We felt undervalued as guests. Lack of information also re dining options, room service etc

The service at lunch time was a little slow, we had to ask to see menus, ask to make our order and then ask for the the bill.

Issues at the Spa, the pool and other facilities were cold. There was a sign on the Sunday but we did not notice one or were advised on the Saturday. Only my daughter and I bothered on the Sunday knowing it would be cold. Some confusion over the breakfast on the Sunday which was slightly embarrassing. Cost of some of the drinks was very expensive.

Staff were very helpful, we had a room upgrade and it was really nice. I even had a staff member help when I was trying to get my car on charge. The food was good and there was a good veriaty as we had 2 vegans in the group.

One of the main reasons we chose Luton Hoo was because we could spend the day using the tennis courts and spa. Unfortunately the boiler in the Spa had broken down so the pool and showers were cold and the steam room not working. We were given a 10% discount but had to ask for it; it would have been good if we had been offered it without asking - and potentially given a greater discount. The tennis courts were in very poor condition which meant playing on them a challenge. They really need resurfacing.

We had just got married and were on our honeymoon. The hotel kindly upgraded us to their honeymoon suite which was lovely with its wonderful comfy bed. Breakfast excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location.
