Room was a bit small and bed corners were hidden by covers and when passing by it was easy to bang your knee. I banged my knee twice within the first hour in the room and wife also did the same. A different bed base/ legs would stop this happening. Full breakfast would have been finished better with some beans. The view over the Loch is stunning. When making a morning coffee the corner had no light. A small lamp near coffee making facilities would be a better touch and make it easier to see what you are doing without waking your partner with a main light.

Very nice Lounge area, Bar and dining room. Breakfast was very good quality of food and it was well presented.

We had such a nice stay here. The most friendly owners, an amazing view over the loch from our room (no 3) and very clean. We also really liked the food they served, and came back for it. There appear to be many regulars staying there, which says enough.

Amazing location and views from the hotel right at the Loch Earn. Most importantly though the hosts are incredibly welcoming and happy to help with everything - which made my stay very relaxing. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t fault anything.

The most perfect location. Stunning views that you will never tire of. If you’re looking for the personal touch then this is the place to go. Hosts are just the best, nothing is too much trouble. Huge car park to the front of the building. Gorgeous home cooked food with many choices in the evening. Amazing breakfast included in the price.

Owners were so friendly and helpful the room was exactly what we wanted and the view was amazing as was the selection of breakfast and cooked choices.the evening meals in the restaurant were absolutely delicious steak and ale pie.and fish dishes were cooked perfectly and served with a good selection of vegetables Bar had a great selection of beverages Could not find anything that was not good Can’t wait to rebook for next year

As always an exceptional stay at Lochearnhead hotel. Lovely setting, comfortable, food is delicious and the people there are lovely and welcoming. We always make it a place to come back too on our way through Scotland.

The only thing I can think of is to have had a bath rather than a shower but the shower was very good!

Only (very slight) downside is that the internet could be a bit temperamental - but that's not unusual even today in these lovely and rather remote locations. Some might even consider it a bonus!

Robert's excellent cooking: extensive breakfast - superb porridge to order - it wanted for nothing. I would recommend anyone to "eat in" for a lovely evening meal before trying elsewhere. Room very comfortable and clean with a large bathroom. Bar and lounge attractive and relaxing. Amanda runs an efficient operation and goes to great lengths to answer queries and provide assistance. Close to wonderful walks and scenery of the Trossachs. Definitely a place to return to whenever the opportunity arises.

Room was a little small and would have been nice to have a lake view room.

Amanda and Robert were excellent hosts. They provided tips for exploring the area and the bar, with Robert serving, stayed open late. Bicycle rental at Katrine Wheelz to bike along Loch Katrine is highly recommended. It’s very hilly in parts so e-bike is recommended.

There was nothing to dislike about this wonderful hotel, which I first visited in 1982; it has evolved "with age" into the most wonderful place to stay! I do not think anyone could make it better! Having stayed in many hotels, I rate this one as being the best!

The full Scottish breakfast was excellent and it really helped to kickstart a few wonderful days. As ever, Robert and Amanda were fantastic hosts, as they have remained for the last twenty years or so!

I wish I had booked a lake view room - I tried to change it but all fully booked.

Amanda and Robert were outstanding hosts. They made our stay so enjoyable. Robert is a superb chef and the meals were exceptional. The hotel is right on the lochside so amazing views. Great residents lounge with loch views and a roaring fire on our first night as i had turned a bit chilly. Lovely walks in the area. Amanda is happy to share her local knowledge with guests. There were many guests there who return year after year which says something about it. We loved our stay here = a bit of a step back in time - perfect.
