Rooms were a bit warm, could use an overhead fan for ventilation.

Beautiful decor/accommodations and clean bathroom. Lovely restaurant on-site for dinner and a really nice a la carte breakfast menu. Parking on site was convenient and very convenient to town. Highly recommend!

Worked out perfectly for us!

Our room in the main building was lovely, with uplighting, wainscoting, coffee/tea service, and calming decor. Two of my sons stayed in the "bunk house" in two twin beds, and I did not see their lodging. We enjoyed eating in the pub (no reservation needed) and the cooked breakfast was to order plus continental offerings which we all loved. We went for an evening walk to a forest nearby and the location was easy early access to Urquhart castle the next morning as we did not have reservations!

It would have been nice to have had a fan in the room due to the heat. With the windows open we heard courtyard noise and a family with upset children.

All meals, dinner and breakfast, were delicious. I booked at the Inn based on reviews that said the food was very good. That was accurate. We had a room off the main dining room which was fairly quiet. It was very warm when we stayed which meant we needed the blinds up and windows open for ventilation. The room was very clean and the bath products were lovely.

Not that close to Loch Ness lake. If you're not a walker/hiker, you need a car to explore the area.

Very well situated close to Loch Ness with a very nice (and popular) restaurant attached to the hotel. Staff were very attentive and genuinely cared about our experience.

Since the restaurant is smaller eating times are condensed to 90 minutes to best accommodate all diners so plan accordingly.

Excellent location just prior to the city. The room was modern and quite comfortable. The distance from lodging to the dining areas is conveniently accessible and shielded from the rain. The dining selection for all meals was very good and flavorful too. The bar area is pretty well stocked with staples to quench any thirst. Great place to kick back and relax after a successful day of long walking on the Great Glen Way.

The bed springs were on the way out so the mattress is probably due to be replaced but it was still comfortable. The pipes in the opposite room was very noisy and the walls were very thin so you could hear conversations next door.

Bed was uncomfortable, the springs were worn out. Next doors shower could be heard through the thin walks.

This place wowed us! We booked on a whim as we got rather tired on our Scotland road trip and we are so glad we stayed here! The exterior and interior of the hotel are so gorgeous and historic. We loved all of the details. The on site restaurant is also phenomenal. We had dinner as well as breakfast the next morning and couldn't stop talking about how delicious. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Did not use overhead shower. A shower cap would be a nice addition to toiletries.. not a complaint but a suggestion

Location was perfect.. stream out back. Few mins drive from tourist information. Staff very professional and friendly.. superb choice of hot cooked breakfast, including full Scottish. Veg opt available. GF rolls also available 😊. Will choose to stay there again.
