Our room was pretty noisy. There were some events taking place and the music was too loud. However, it stopped around 10pm, but started again in the morning.

We stayed in this hotel just as a connection point on our path through Scotland. It was good, we didn't pay the extra breakfast. It is located in a nice place, near a lake. We didn't explore the surroundings much. Parking option right in front of the building.

The entertainment was fab but someone complained saying he had sung a sectarian song which he hadn’t as we’d been there the entire act; that was fine but another guest gave a young night staff member of staff hell and it was completely uncalled for. This is not the hotels fault at all, but this message is more of a sticking up for the boy than anything else

The location and the entertainment were great

Unfortunately the shower wasn't draining and the bathroom flooded.

The Loch Long hotel is in a great location on the banks of the Loch. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the bar area with the live music on a Saturday evening.

Very noisy staff moving deliveries on a metal cage early early morning, right below our window. Large cobweb above bed. The cobweb was removed by staff after I pointed it out.

Excellent location for accessing the Arrochar Alps Bathroom. was clean and modern.

The car park was tiny, the beds were tiny and the quilt was too big for the cover as it was folded up inside so we had to take it out to cover us both, went for breakfast at 9am in the morning - for a while there were no cups for a brew, took a while to get butter, and then there were no beans left so we asked if there were any more to be told ‘if there’s no beans it means there’s no beans’

The reception staff were lovely, location and view were amazing

Later in the evening some cars parked outside our bedroom window so we had to close the curtains. We were really looking forward to a meal in the restaurant. We changed our evening meal booking to 6pm so the restaurant would be available, however for some reason we were asked to eat in the bar area. The bar area wasn't really set up (I didn't feel) for meals plus a very wet, smelly dog (I know this isn't the dog's fault) sat close to us. I was so disappointed as the menu looked so fabulous. Hotels don't often offer such a great vegan menu. We went to the pub down the road instead (which to be honest was worse). Breakfast was also disappointing. There were no vegan options, except cerial. It was advertised as a continental breakfast, which in my experience, usually has pastries. My husband had the full breakfast (which for some reason on booking.com was listed as an Irish breakfast!). He had half a rasher of bacon and a tiny sausage! The potato scone was lovely and so was the vegetarian sausage. If we stay there again we wouldn't pay for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and a good size with lots of storage. We had a lovely view.

Arrived early.14.00hrs , and new I was early. Waited until after 15.00hrs to be informed the room was ready. When entering the room the single beds were not made and used towls still in the shower room. After reporting the issue the staff apogised and attended to the room. Eventually after twohours plus the room was declared ready, but another delay as towls had not been provided.

The staff were friendly. Bar beer was good. A free drink was provided to compensate lateness of room.

My room was near the bar and it was soooo loud. Also my widow looked out into the car park so had to have the curtains shut to have any privacy. The windows were naff so you could hear the road and the car park being used by coaches a lot.

Location was nice and it had a brilliant chip shop opposite.

    1) The view from our room 114 was onto some kind of enclosed area with no light, no air coming in windows and can hear everyone round about you taking a shower as it sounds like rain is battering down outside or there’s a massive leak somewhere. 2) No hair dryer to use 🔴 maybe providing Thai would improve guest experience 3) No toilet brush in bathroom 🔴 4) Door flimsy and dated it didn’t seem very secure and if I was staying in the room myself I wouldn’t of felt comfortable 🔴 5) Heat in room/ hot/sticky/clammy/no air even with all the windows open there’s no cool air coming into the room maybe management should provide fans for these rooms for guest comfort 🔴 6) Tired on outside really could do with some renovating on the outside as the inside is lovely but the outside lets the place down 7) Carpark is awful it’s so small for the hotel and you can’t get a space, we had to park in the overflow car park along the road which cost us over £25 for the night 🔴 8) Could do with more pillows in the rooms as one pillow on each bed is a bit useless 🔴 9) The WIFI is absolutely awful extremely slow 🔴

So after reading the reviews I genuinely did not want to stay at this hotel I was so worried & prepared for the worst and it being absolutely awful but it actually wasn’t, I’m going to give my honest review of this hotel and I will do it with numerical bullet points for ease of reading, some of these are genuine complaints/praises and others are suggestions to the hotel to make peoples stay easier & more comfy (these will have a red dot beside them) 1) Beds very comfy 2) Room decor lovely 3) Bathroom amazing inc very hot water and great pressure in bath taps and shower 4) Staff are welcoming and so lovely 5) Nice chip shop right over from the hotel 6) Breakfast was £13.50 for a cooked breakfast which consisted of 1 skinny sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 black pudding, 1 tattie scone, a tiny pot of beans equating to maybe two table spoons of ur lucky, 1 egg - maybe re-evaluate your breakfast and cost because that certainly wasn’t £13.50 worth of ingredients your lucky if it was £2 worth, it tasted nice but extremely over priced
