There really isn’t anything not to like about the cottage you will be impressed

Excellent country cottage but with also modern touch , very cozy and comfortable everything you need for every circumstance . The hot tub was amazing along with outdoor bbq which was really great and outdoor fire pit with logs which we enjoyed on a evening looking onto the mountains , what a view fantastic getaway would have loved to stay longer . Vince our host was exceptional and the hospitality was 5 star , gave us a tour of the local area and insight of the history and culture which made us actually stay another couple of days which otherwise we wouldn’t have Vince what a great guy along with his family was so helpful and went beyond to make sure we had a great stay i could just go on a home and family away from home Great people

Vince met us on arrival. He was very friendly and informative, talking us through the workings of the hot tub and answered any other questions we had. He was happy to help with restaurant recommendations and taxis. Anything we needed.

This is an excellent choice for a couple looking for a relaxing romantic getaway. The facilities are top notch and the host Vince is an absolute gentleman. We enjoyed the hot tub in the rain with a view of the surrounding mountains. An absolute gem of a spot. Will definitely be going back and would recommend it to everyone.

First of all the host Vince was a delightful character who welcomed us to Lizzie’s Cottage with a big smile and then went on to show us the Cottages workings and also shared the history from the past to present . The cottage itself was very tastefully designed old meeting new from the fantastic original fireplace to the modern furnishings thoughout. Outside the hot tub, seating/dining area and to top it off the views of the Mourne Mountains made the experience complete. We will be sharing our relaxing experience and recommending Lizzie’s Cottage to friends and family.

Fantastic little hide away this place is, spotless clean, nice and cosy, not too far from castlewellan and newcastle, the host is an absolute gentleman too, this is definitely one of my favourites, we will be returning at some stage

That we couldn't bring the hot tub with us!

Honestly loved everything about our stay, it was a well needed little mini break and this could not have met our expectations more. Vince very clearly cares a lot about the cottage and we loved the photo books of the restoration and everything about the cottage - especially the hot tub which was a dream. We will be back!

Nothing much to be honest. Obviously, a fire would be great but Vince explained its due to the space being so small that it would get to hot inside. I would suggest that you get a more comfy two- seater sofa, I know the space is limited but that would make all the difference.

Lovely place, very comfortable and warm. The hot tub is the highlight of course. Nice decor. Vince was friendly and helpful and has a good sense of humour. Lovely setting and private. And easy going about checking out. Overall, it's what we needed and we had a lovely time.

Sofa in the living room is not comfy to chill on. Quite hard and small

Everything else was fab! Great facilities, comfy bed, very clean, great shower, and the hot tub was added bonus. The hot tub cover offers a little more privacy, which was good.

The property is a hidden gem at the bottom of the mountains with an exceptional view on a clear day. The hot tub is an added bonus which makes it all the more relaxing. The cottage has everything you need and close to the town centre. The host Vincie is an absolute gentleman who couldn’t have been more welcoming or done more for us! Will definitely be recommending to friends and we hope to be back soon!

Can't fault this property in any way..

The cottage was lovingly restored by Vince and is stunning, it is a credit to him. Absolutely spotless couldn't fault this property. The bed was amazing had a great night's sleep. The hot tub also was so nice and quite private. Vincent was a lovely man to chat to and very helpful with directions also.
