Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomFor the budget room the toilet/ sink / shower is so cramp can barely turn 360 in it so would just get the standard room if claustrophobic. The note about the parking maybe needs to be a bit clearer it’s free on street parking but only an hour which we did not realise and got caught out also.
Really good location central Windermere and couple of minutes drive from Bowness-on-Windermere. Down the road from tourist information. Rooms on the smaller side but all that is needed if out all day exploring. Warm and not noisy.

United KingdomSound-proofing was not idea due to it's an aging property I think. We can hear other room's talking and laughing after 11pm. Street noise went down after 11pm.
The location is very good and accessible, less than 5 min walk to train station and about 5 min for 555 bus. The room definitely worths its price. It is cozy and comfortable. Facilities were clean and nice.

United KingdomThe only complaints that we have were actually to do with the extras in the room. The room was hot (in July) the window wouldn't stay open and the fan provided was very weak so it got pretty stuffy on a night . There was a mini drinks fridge provided, it was also very weak so barely cooled the drinks. These are obviously non essential extras but left us a little dissapointed
We found the location of Lingmore to be perfect. Restaurants, bars, shops, bus station right on your doorstep. The room/ building was clean and tidy & the bed was comfortable. Communication with the host was good, they were very helpful

United KingdomIt was quite cold in our room. Although the hotel has central heating, it seems to only operate from mid-autumn (we stayed in August). It might be a good idea to provide an electric heater for cooler weather. Also, note that the hotel does not provide disposable slippers. If you decide to stay here, I recommend bringing your own, as you'll otherwise have to walk barefoot on the carpet or wear your outdoor shoes inside.
