We were in the only room on the bottom floor right next to the bar with a wedding party in full swing. Noisy until gone 12 although bar staff did try to minimise noise by closing door. Probably any other might would have bee great

Lovely setting, friendly staff, comfortable bed, Netflix option on large TV

The receptionist was quite blunt and unfriendly. My sister’s room had no electric sockets working and her reaction to this in the morning was poor and frankly uninterested. We were in Bath for our nephew’s wedding and had travelled a very long way to be told we couldn’t have coffees until 11 am and then, at 11 were told the coffee machine was broken. We asked if we could have some lunch - sandwiches could be available from 3 o’clock!

Very comfortable room. Good range of breakfast choices. Lovely young waitress served us for breakfast.

The bed was narrow and uncomfortable, bed springs could be felt underneath us. Bedroom sparsely furnished. Breakfast mediocre. Yet the room cost £155 per night.

The location in pretty village. The view from the bedroom; the bath. The furniture downstairs..

I suppose the Best Western is a sizeable group, so unexpected that they don't have a mini fridge and small safe in the room.

The appearance of the hotel. They prepared a twin room as per requested.

    Nothing really to dislike

Location was excellent for what we wanted. Walking along the canal to Bradford on Avon and the location of the bus stop to Bath. the receptionist was very informative on our arrival, and was able to answer all our questions. Breakfast was very good, and the staff we're clearing the tables as soon as you had finished.

Please note that I speak as an interior designer. Whilst the hotel was a beautiful period Georgian house it is now extremely tired. It is in need of a total makeover! The rooms whilst very clean are shabby and dated as is the rest of the hotel. A sensitive makeover with a nod to the houses Georgian style would in my opinion work wonders.

The staff were extremely efficient and helpful. In fact I couldn't fault them at all. They were very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. The location was totally stunning. I don't think I've stayed in a hotel with such views outside the lake District. Absolutely stunning!

We had a mixer tap shower in our rooom & at times it was difficult to maintain the temperature. Personal to us but the tables in the bar area are very low so it was difficult for my partner to eat there as she has a medical condition, which was a shame as the food was good.

The room was clean & comfortable & all the staff we had dealings with were friendly & helpful. The hotel itself is well located & is about 10 - 15 mins drive away from the nearest park & ride into Bath. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, we also had a meal in the bar, the food was good & was served quickly. It is an old building so it has some sloping floors & a few creaks but that gives it character & is what you would expect for the age of the building.

3 miles from Bath and very economical, you will need a car- (or £15 Uber)just be ready for some tight turns up the hill and hedge enclosed narrow roads. Some erraticness with the water pressure (which can scald) and unwilling to reimburse for meals paid for in advance even with notice. Solid basic British food. No fridge in room.

Life goes o for this rambling old country house with good size rooms. You can get both breakfast and diner there. Delightful to just hang out in the the bar area on rainy winter nights.

I had notified the hotel that one member of my group (there were only three of us) was vegetarian but there were no vegetarian meat substitutes on the breakfast buffet. The wall at the side of the handbasin in the bathroom was splashed with what could have been sick or even blood.

The staff were very friendly and the setting was amazing.

There was no shelving or vanity unit in the bathroom to put a wash bag on so had to put it on the floor. The hotel generally looked a little tired.

Lovely quiet location in beautiful countryside. Nice old country house homely feel. We paid a little bit extra for a superior room which was a good size with lovely traditional sash windows. Bed was comfortable.
