Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesHousekeeping staff needs to be trained better. Everyday something was missing, towels, glasses, coffee refills, etc. Each day I had to call the front desk and ask for the missing items. The desk was wobbly and it took 4 days to fix after repeated requests to the front desk each morning. Overall these were annoyance that should not have occurred. The The stay otherwise was fine.
Location was good in the west end haymarket area. close to restaurants and shopping. 20 minute walk to the castle. Staff was friendly and professional.

Great location within easy walking distance from Haymarket train station! Clean rooms and decent restaurant and morning breakfast. Lots of great restaurants nearby! Hotel staff was accommodating with keeping our family in nearby rooms.

United KingdomVery expensive for an overnight stay in a hotel that is comfortable but not luxurious (it was previously a Premier Inn and not much has been changed decor wise). The food in the restaurant was disappointing and not cheap. Very much gave the impression of being pre-prepared and heated up in a microwave. The hotel is obviously popular with tour groups so the restaurant was very busy at breakfast time - we went for a stroll and came back later. The nearby Milk cafe is an alternative breakfast place.
Convenient location for departures/arrivals from Haymarket railway station. Close to the tram route into the city centre. The staff stored our bicycles in a conference room (but then moved them without asking, causing some scratches...). Room was clean. TV was larger than the hotel average.

Room was a good size for 3 people and very clean. Comfy beds too. Location was perfect, and as we were there for the Taylor Swift concert, the hotel went all out on a TS-themed bake sale, free sweets, welcome signs, balloon decorations, and a friendship bracelet making station.

location to Murray field brilliant and the hotel took on all the swifty hype. Hotel tired in some parts and carpets could do with a really good clean. our room there was bleached out marks in the carpet and we had difficultly closing the window. Black out blinds would have been a bonus as the room was very light in the mornings
