Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomstate of the carpet and no black out curtains
location to Murray field brilliant and the hotel took on all the swifty hype. Hotel tired in some parts and carpets could do with a really good clean. our room there was bleached out marks in the carpet and we had difficultly closing the window. Black out blinds would have been a bonus as the room was very light in the mornings

United StatesThe hotel could use a little updating. There were a few bleach stains on the floor in the hallways and the wall in the bathroom could have used a small amount of repair. The glass door on the bathtub was weird because it only went halfway along the bathtub. Really couldn't pull it out really couldn't push it in far enough that I could turn on the faucets. Honestly though these are very small problems that I am willing to absolutely overlook to visit them again.
I absolutely loved the staff. After the terrible time I had with my flight causing me to arrive a day late I was concerned I'd lost my room. I emailed the hotel and explained the situation and they were able to keep the booking. The staff was even kind enough to go ahead and check me in that way if I came in at some time in the morning like 4:00 in the morning I would have a room ready. It was wonderful having a friendly staff who genuinely seem to care about our visit. If I could I would have hugged the ladies behind the desk.

DenmarkThe carpet in the 'hall' leading to the rooms were dirty and really poor. But the frontdesk team told us that it was to be changed shortly.
Absolutely great service from the 'front desk' team, smiling and very helpfull. The location was excellent, too - only a few minutes walk to the Haymarket station (easy for tram and various airport transport)

United KingdomIn my opinion this is not a 4 star rating hotel 3 stars. Theres no water in the rooms when asked I was told that the water in the bathroom is ok to drink ( who drinks the water from a bathroom? ) the room cleaner wasn't up to scratch no toilet paper replacement left a empty bottle in the room, for it to cost £560 for 3 nights mid week not over a weekend this is not worth the money I've stayed in 4 stars for less in Dublin city.for less .we booked breakfast the night before as we were heading out and was told that they needed the money that night before we could book ,they really need to keep on top of the food refills as lots of empty trays and lots of people standing. Also food was not hot just warm at best .5 out of 10 .

United KingdomThere was no extractor fan in the bathroom, so the humidity stayed after showering. The design of the bathtub made it difficult to get rid of the water at the bottom too. There was visible mould on the soap holder and some corners in the bathroom. The room was generally too pricey for what it was worth.
The location is great: easy to access from the hotel to everywhere.

Hong KongPerhaps on our check in one of the staff was a little snappy and short though it was following a rather troublesome patron in front of us.
We had a room with an extra bed to accomodate 3 of us (all adults) and I have to say it surpassed our expectation. The sofa bed was quite comfortable. The size of the room was decent where we all could layout our luggages. We actually thought we booked in on the Prince street Leonardeo, despite not being as central, it is actually still at a very convenient location where everything's still within a short walk away. We added breakfast for one morning and the options were more than plenty.
