The entrance and lobby area is welcoming as is the lounge area overlooking the sea and pier. Great location if you want to be right in the hub bub with direct access to The Lanes and the promenade. The sea view room we got upgraded to was lovely.

Heated pool area - this was a treat for my grandson (nearly 5 years old), but wished it was accessible past 20h00. Dining area - pricey for simple meals/ sandwiches; eventually we ordered from a local 'collect' Italian restaurant. A pity as we like to dine in at the hotels with a little one (and not 'dine' in the room). Room view - would have preferred a Seaview but understand these limitations. Breakfast - a standard buffet offering Location - chose a hotel that would offer the parking option for our 2 cars; albeit discount was applied - the parking was still expensive compared to parking provided at eg Premier Inn sites (some parking is free as guests).

Central location walking distance / accessible to the eg Sea Life / oceanarium in light of a one-night stay.

Large selection for breakfast, though only criticism of stay was the English breakfast was a little too greasy.

Gym, Spa, and very friendly staff. Arrived after L2B bike ride, our stay couldn’t have been better. Very friendly and helpful staff from front desk to Concierge. Also stored our luggage and my bike after 11:00 check out, so we could enjoy Brighton a little longer.

Cleaning of the bedrooms was not good. They didn’t take out. Glasses didn’t leave any fresh cups. I didn’t really clean the bathroom very well.

The location was very good for seeing the best of Brighton. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and the bed comfortable. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent!

The decor is very tired. Warn and stained carpets. The old fashioned bathrooms need updating with walk in showers.

I enjoyed the breakfast, comfy bed, safety hand rail and mat for bath, the position re beach front, Royal Pavilion and museum, restaurants. The staff were helpful. It was good to have carpet in the main atrium as it kept the open area quiet.

There are parts of the hotel which are ready for an upgrade. The elevators sound like they could stop any day, pulls down the impression. There are also toilets that could be freshened up. Our room was not cheap, but a bit dull. Not super modern. Parking is horrendously expensive in Brighton, reason not to stay. £42 for 24 hours is too much. Hotel has a discounted rate of £29 which is a good discount, but still expensive. Such a high cost that it impacts where you stay.

The Leonardo Royal Hotel Waterfront Brighton has an ideal location if you want to stay centrally in Brighton and be close to the sea, the Pier and the shopping/restaurant areas. The breakfast area on "upper Ground floor" has an excellent positioning to get a nice view of the beach, the Pier and the seaside og Brighton. Very pleasant quiet breakfast area with also great variety to choose from. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Public Parking garage underneath is very convenient.

Only two small criticisms. 1. The water pressure in the bathroom could have been better. 2. On our last full day, we had to phone housekeeping in the afternoon, as our room had not been serviced and we had been out for the whole morning and two hours of the afternoon.

The breakfast catered for all tastes and was plentiful. The staff were courteous and helpful.

One thing that could be improved is the mattress as it was abit hard. Another thing is the price you pay for parking, I feel like the price you pay for a room you should get free parking or abit more discount as what we paid for 1 night was abit extreme but otherwise it was an amazing hotel
