Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Friendly staff, great location ( especially for short taxi ride to cruise terminal and railway station ), wonderful breakfast. A nice and quiet bedroom with effective air conditioning. Very pleasant bar onsite.

United KingdomWe had a query with you - YES - BOOKING.COM which arose due to an error I made wirh the booking. I had mistakenly booked two breakfasts but my wife pointed out that the the advertised booking stated "Breakfast included" I thought this be a simple matter of asking YOU - BOOKING.COM but I was dismayed by the Booking.com system which asked me to state my confirmation number and a another number with dot(.) separators which I could not reproduce as my phone has no full stop on the keypad. I attempted to reproduce this in a number of ways. I am sure you will see the evidence on this with a number of attempts I made do do this because I kept getting the same response so they must show on your system and I would like to see your comments on this. My wife spoke with the reception team at the hotel and they credited us . So 10/10 for the Hotel and Nil for Booking.Com. We look forward to your response.
The reception team were right on the ball and the we received a very warm welcome, with the offer of of a free upgrade to a larger room and a late checkout. This was great for us as it meant we could explore Southampton the following morning before joing our cruise ship.

I got a single skewer with about 4/ 5 small pieces of chicken and some dip surrounded by rocket leaves. I'm glad I ordered the chips as an extra! Not great value for the money spent!

United KingdomWanted to see what make the mattress was as would like one at home and a little dismayed to find there was no mattress protector used on the bed. I would think for hygiene reasons alone a protector is a must.
The room was very spacious and clean. There was everything you could want, with a selection of tea/coffee, down to an iron and ironing board. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with crisp bed linen. The bathroom was spacious with a shower over a bath, but we prefer a bath.
