Breakfast a little disorganised despite not being busy, ran out of orange juice, one coffee machine was broken and tables not cleared very quickly.

We were put in a room right near an elevator so noisy. Couldn’t make tea and coffee using kettle without shifting whole tray or drawers as no plug accessible from wardrobe

I liked my room which was situated on the 6th floor. the security, the need to use your key, was comforting as a woman travelling alone with a couple of late nights. The night manager was absolutely fantastic. The bed was comfortable and i managed to get a good night sleep with the aid of the black out blinds

We stayed in a family room 141, which is on the backside of hotel, sadly at 04.30, heard people talking and noises of trolley's been moved around, we assumed it was staff moving items for collection later that today, naturally all this noise did not go down well been disturbed.

Location very central to main city area. Beds very comfy and room was clean and tidy.

No help with luggage had to repay breakfast

When we checked in and paid we were told ut included breakfast 4vthe two nights, we came down for breakfast next morning we were told we had not paid had to pay again this was very bad ,also no help with luggage which we needed and I am on a mobility scooter and my sister walks with a stick and I am 73 poor staff in this respect 😢

2 minor issues. We only wanted a ‘continental’ type breakfast but the cost, £16 was the only price so no reduction for 2 croissants & a coffee. 2nd, I know it can be early but a smile from the staff in the breakfast area would have been nice to see. This area is often the last interaction customers have with staff & can leave a lasting impression.

The hotel is a really well located property in the centre of Manchester. The check in was smooth with very pleasant front of house staff. Room so comfortable & a great bed

extremely short staffed in reception and breakfast rooms. 2 or 3 poor young staff struggling to meet the demands of people all the guests For a 4 star hotel, they could easily have more staff. I have stayed at the Midland every time till now. Though their hotel is shoddier they have a large number of staff to help in reception and dining room. perhaps that's why they are rated higher

The fact you don't accept cash. I will not stay there again as I at least expect the choice to pay by card or cash. Thankfully a friend was there to pay on my behalf otherwise i would have been left very embarrassed. Also the tv aerial needs attention. Couldn't get half the channels

A bit tired, could do with a freshen up, particularly in the bathroom. Lighting in room does not give very good coverage.

Central location, near to all forms of public transport. Clean with comfortable bed and room facilities. Helpful staff. Liked the outward bow-shaped shower curtain! Reasonably priced.

Not enough lights. Fingernail on table. Bathroom looks outdated. Smell stale. Hot water in shower not hot enough. Prefer shower screen rather than shower curtains. Shower curtain smells damp. No mini fridge in room. No complimentary water
