It was a bit run down in places the furniture is a bit old, everything could just be updated

Due to its central location it was too noisy at night. Groups of youths, drunk people shouting, etc and this was all night. 2nd night add music from a hotel function until midnight. The building is old so all the floors are squeaky making it noisy. My 1st room had loud machinery noise within the hotel next to it, sounded like a plant room, plus in the room a large ( dinner plate size) bright green night which disturbed me ( told is connected to the fire alarm) on top of the outside noise. I did change room 2nd night but was given a room with a bath and fixed panel/screen, as a blue badge holder this made using the shower extremely difficult. Given the Aggro from my 1st move I couldn’t face another. The Duty Manager I spoke to was passive aggressive and sarcastic, I didn’t want to deal with him again. The hotel knew I had trouble with mobility as I had registered my badge with them & use a walking stick, they should have moved me to a room with a walk in shower like my first room had. They had been informed of my need for a quieter room at 06:30 and I went out all day so they had 8 hours to reallocate my room. 3 times during the 2 day stay my key cards failed meaning I had to go up & down to reception each time & twice queued to get the card sorted, and yes I know to not put it near other devices.

Location for shopping, dining, sports/concerts stadiums and site seeing was excellent

The hotel car park was very hard to find with all the one way system and the sat navigation didn't get me to the hotel at all.

The hotel was great clean comfortable and the breakfast was lovely.

Very cold room despite air con heating. Bathroom towel rail far too small. Very difficult to get into bath/ shower as glass panel fixed and unmovable. Need to stand in bath while cold shower bath heats up brrrrr! Bathroom generally freezing

Staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to assist me in any way possible. They were so friendly and motivated. The location is terrific. Bus connections and tourist attractions are all within walking distance.

Noisy Fan Coil a/c in room. Toilet extract grille blocked. Broken chair (nob adjustable) However I appreciate that there are new owners/new investment, and the refurbishment will take time to assess and implement.

I was happy with everything and felt as though I could raise any issues with staff if needed.

My room was upgraded so I had a suite with coffee machine and vouchers for food. This was a lovely surprise after a long day. The hotel is in a great location. It is clean with good sized rooms and nice toiletries. The staff are lovely and really make you feel looked after. The food in the evening was very nice (I didn't have breakfast)
