Bathroom could do with updating, however very clean. Only one toilet roll given. As a non coffee drinker I would like more options of drinks in room, such as hot chocolate.

Near the hotel there where lot of baggers always asking for money did not feel safe all to go out alone. Paying for paking in the hotel parking for me felt like a scam where no other places to park where available.

Location was very good very central. On the other hand the coarse was in the same hotel so was very easy to reach. Accompanying Guest Had a lot to do nearby during the time I was doing the coarse.

It generally felt a little tired and our bathroom needed some attention to the bath plug and toilet flush.

Reasonable sized room with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Well located for where we needed to be.

The self serve breakfast was very good so not a complaint but having stayed there three nights, it would have been nice to have another option like eggs benedict or similar.

Excellently located hotel in the centre of Cardiff with easy access to the city centre, castle and principality stadium. We were there for a Bruce Springsteen concert hence lower score on value for money as hotel was full and prices were a premium (not blaming them, pure supply and demand). Friendly staff and lovely room with an enormous and very comfortable bed. Some crisps, biscuits and local pale ale in the room was a nice touch.

The bar area is dark and unwelcoming with rather frazzled staff member who seemed to be juggling numerous jobs. This is not a criticism about the staff but more I suspect a dig of the times. The bar area needs light and an injection of life, it is not a place I would choose to spend time in. This is a lovely hotel with great rooms in a perfect location. The whole of the downstairs feels like a second grade hotel with so much potential to breathe life into it with a great cocktail bar/waiters who will welcome people in and transform the feel of the place. Another disappointing addition to the first class rooms is the awful stuck on soap/shampoo dispensers. Cheapens the lovely rooms giving them a travel lodge feel. Just those changes would make me come back and importantly spend money during my stay instead of finding more lively places to eat and drink.

Matilda on reception was delightful with a huge welcoming smile and immediately put me at ease. I was travelling solo for the first time and her friendliness set the tone for the start of my trip. The room was perfect and the supersize bed was extremely comfortable. I had a city view which enabled me to do some sketching. It was something I had asked for when booking and was no trouble for Matilda who accommodated the request.

The location is right in the center of the city - a nice place to base yourselves if you want to walk around the center. The rooms are a nice size and clean. The bed was comfortable. Lots of choices of restaurants, bakeries, and such.

Lot of late night street noise from outside - went on till 3 or 4 am - voices and "music" ! Obviously no fault of the hotel, and our stay was Saturday eve of May Bank Holiday!

central location with parking (payable!) - excellent room very nice - everything needed was there - clean breakfast was excellent - exceeded expectations - buffet superb from smoothies to cooked welsh ! Reception and restaurant staff were great.

As the bath is very deep it was a bit daunting for me ( I’m only 5ft 2 and not very nimble) climbing in and out to have a shower but it wouldn’t put me off coming here again.

Bed a bit hard for me - my only slight criticism!

Convenient and clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful - David the front of house manager was especially welcoming to all guests. A very friendly hotel experience. Rooms very nice - good breakfast.

Very creaky floor and some unpleasant marks in the bathroom that I cleaned myself. I did not bring this to the attention of staff as I didn't mind giving the wall a wipe down. Im sure however had I made this known to the staff they would have sorted out immediately.
