Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe safe in our room was broken. We couldn't use it. Once we had dinner and there were only 2 waiters in the restaurant. Although the waiter who served us was very nice, they were very slow. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and there were only 4 tables including us. With a 1.5 year old child on my lap, I would have appreciated faster service.
Everyone in the reception was very friendly Especially the one who helped us with the check in. The hotel is really close to a bus station where the 26 bus starts so we could sit on the top floor of the bus, which is basically a sightseeing tour. So the employees and location are perfect. The sauna and steamroom is awesome. I can only recommend this hotel. The breakfast was not the best i've ever had, but there are plenty of options and as someone with a dairy allergy, I really appreciate that.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn't like, rooms and corridors are a little dated but no big deal
Great hotel and the room are massive. If you're fortunate to stay at the back of the hotel, the views are amazing! Staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Only drawback is where it is, even though it states Murrayfield, it's the outskirts so a short taxi ride away, no big deal.

SloveniaDue to wooden floors there can be rather annoying bumps heard in the room from the people in the room above especially when they are used to walking on their heels. Be cautious when pre-ordering a take-out breakfast if you plan to leave hotel before 6:45 when the breakfast starts. We agreed it on the reception and at the breakfast entrance but it was not ready and the morning crew did not know about it. Some hooks or hangers could be added in the bathroom for hanging towels or clothes. Breakfast could include some regular bread (not just toast), but I guess that it a local habit.
Nice location in a quiet neighbourhood. Nice room with a good view. Iron and iron-board included. Breakfast was very good. No exotic items but very good coffee types, all the essential warm items (eggs in two forms, beans, ham, haggis), cold items (salami, cheese), corn flakes, fruit and yogurt. Variety of pastries, some cold drinks. Very close to BUS 26 (drives through the centre and to the eastern beaches), 21, 1 and Airlink 200 to the airport. Room is big enough, bathroom also. Very nice and helpful personal at the reception.

GermanyThe hotel is conveniently located next to a bus stop, where buses from the airport stop and you can also use local buses to go into the city center. Rooms are comfy and everything was clean. The breakfast buffet could have had a bit more options. Especially for toast and bagel toppings, there was only butter. No cream cheese, also no jam/marmalade. The cereal options were really great though.

United KingdomUnfortunately, we were kept up with room above us walking about during the night. The floorboards kept creaking, it sounded like a herd of elephants. It was really loud. That was are only downside staying at the hotel.
The room was clean, cosy, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was really nice. There is a direct bus into Princes Street, right around the corned from the hotel.

NorwayThe cleanliness in the restaurant could have been better (a lot of fruit flies).
We arrived a bit early and was able to check-in to our room before check-in time. The room was very spacious with a view of Edinburgh. The beds were comfortable and the tea selection was amazing. The hotel has a spa section with a pool, gym, sauna and steam room. We enjoyed the spa section, but it was a bit full. We also ate in the restaurant and the service was good and so was the food.
