Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IndiaThe entrance can well be missed completely, as it is too narrow to be noticed. It is narrower than some of the large sized bags one checks in at the airport. Reception being on the first floor, carrying luggage is therefore a challenge. The description in Booking.com creates a different impression compared to reality. For example, we thought tea coffee making facilities would be inside the room. This was however available in a kitchen one floor below. The description of facilities on Booking.com often creates high expectations from the property.
The place is located relatively close to many attractions. The place is okay for backpackers, any more luggage than that adds significantly to the discomfort. The location was reasonably close to an underground station. Few restaurants nearby offer possibilities but we did not avail any of them. The bed was comfortable, but rather too narrow for a couple. The staff was helpful in whichever way it was possible. An early check in was accommodated, for instance.

GreeceThe morning of the first day of my booking, received a message from the owner that ill be staying in another room. It was 10 minutes away on foot from the one that i have already booked, but same distance from the metro station. Nothing important after all. As for the apartment, the bathroom was a bit small.
Referring to the place i stayed and not the one that is being promoted. Really quiet, although it was on a main road, clean and everything stated was included.

Czech Republic-Extra small place, but for one person is ok -the room was cold because you can feel cold air from the outside from the window and from under the door - here I need to say that the heater works well, so it's not a big problem. However, the bathroom is extremely cold all the time -there is a kitchen hood right in front of the window, so you can hear it till 12am - for me it was not a big problem, but for others it could be a huge deal -the window is very nominal, you cannot open it (basically do not need to, you still get your portion of fresh air out of it), and it actually looks at the wall -I personally did not like the mattress, was too hard for me

CroatiaFirst of all, I have to say that I don't have high expectations, the toilet was very small, but that didn't bother me, since I'm tall. The problem is the shower, which does not have normal water pressure, this should be changed urgently. The front door of the apartment cannot be locked from the inside, and now we come to a problem. If check-out is between 11:30 and 12:00, it is not normal for someone to enter your apartment at 11:00. Booking should warn the owners that this is an intrusion into the client's privacy, and I condemn it to say the least. If you have paid the price, you will leave within the agreed time, and not have someone force you out before check-out. The cleanliness could be a little better, the floor, the windows, and I don't think it takes a lot of money to get 2 pots so that families can prepare something to eat, and not that everything is rusted. Dust on the fridge, it's probably been there for 4 months
Shop across the street, open 24/7, you can always buy something, close to the bus and subway, Tower Bridge walk about 15 min.

GermanyThe bathroom was FREEZING cold, there was no heating in my room. The water was fine but the room itself was extremely cold. Also the bedroom was cold and the radiator took a long time to heat it up. Walls were a bit thin too.
The price was really amazing, not far from public transport and it was an interesting location. Overall a decent deal for the price.

They also have a kitchen with free bottles of water avaiable and an Iron/ironing board. Keypad entry with key waiting in room. Didnt see any staff but there was a phone number to call if any issues.

BelgiumThe apartment was not at the address you can find on Booking.com. Which is ok, but I see it can create confusion. There are stairs to go upstairs and the bathroom is not that spacious. If you have a mobility problem, contact the owner first!
The location is very convenient and close to the Aldgate metro station. The apartment was essential, but clean and enough to plan your visit in London.
