The bathroom light was an automatic light so if the bathroom was used in the middle of the night it lit up like a lighthouse and no way to turn it off. The shower was either scalding or freezing without touching the controls. I couldn’t get the bubble spa bath to work and nor could the staff. Found the switch for it in the bedroom by the tv, breakfast not so good. Only real complaint was all the cigarette butts outside our door which was opposite the rear of kitchen.

The room looked very nice. There was a glass brick wall dividing bedroom from en-suite, looked very nice. .food for evening meal was very good, came fairly quickly and was very hot.

There were some loose floor tiles in the bathroom and the decor was a bit dated, but we really did like this hotel and had a great time at the event they were hosting.

The staff were friendly and helpful from beginning to end. We got a room with a jacuzzi, and the jacuzzi was clean and well kept - really enjoyed using it. We were attending a family member's 50th anniversary party at the hotel, and they did a lovely job with it. The breakfast that came with the room was quite good - a full Scottish breakfast buffet with lighter options also provided.

Noise from fans outside disturbed. Shower cream container did not work. Water from tap often spurted out and could soak you. Breakfast was worst my wife and I have ever had in a hotel. Potato scones were like cardboard. Scrambled eggs were in a disgusting liquid. Fried eggs very small. Bacon dried out.

Room badly needed decorating. Wallpaper is old and peeling. Duvet covers are old and whole building ( we were in an annexe) just smelled old and tired.

We really liked this hotel. Only downside I could see for some people may be that there is no lift although this was OK for us.

Good size room with excellent tea tray. Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Good size car park. Excellent value for money. Not far from the motorway and easy to find.

Only concern was if you have a bath, you had to stand up to access the supplied shampoo/ soap (which is attached to wall) otherwise excellent place to stay.

The re were 2 negatives. The bathroom light was automatic and came on as soon as someone went into the bathroom. Part of the wall between the bathroom and bedroom was a feature dappled glass panel. This meant that the light from the bathroom came into the bedroom and if someone went to the bathroom during the night, that light came on and stayed on for a while, lighting up not only the bathroom but bedroom as well. Very sleep disturbing! Our room was entered directly from an alley at the back of the hotel. This alley was used by staff to have a cigarette, (not a very salubrious welcome to a hotel) and the alley was littered with cigarette butts. However, on entering our room, we found it to be wonderful. Cleaning up the alley and maybe putting some tubs of flowers or hanging baskets outside the rooms would create a better impression. But as I said, the room was really firsst rate.

Our room was exceptional. It was large and very comfortable. There was a couch as well as a kingsize bed. The bathroom was also great. Big, and room to put all our toiletries etc.

The location suited our needs. The staff were very friendly & gave us recommendations on places to visit in the area. The room was very comfortable & spacious. The food in the restaurant was good.

Breakfast was decent but more variety over the 4 days would be nice e.g. same fruit every day. Would have liked a vegetarian option at breakfast and some healthier options, like Greek yoghurt would be nice. Granola was great, though.

We ate at the hotel 3 nights out of 4, so were happy with the evening meals. Variety was good and a few vegetarian options. Some healthier options would be good and salads could be better.
