The bed was too small for an adult and child and the window didn’t open in the room so we couldn’t sleep well during the night. We had to turn on the ac at 4am in the morning. It felt a little claustrophobic.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The shower and bathroom were modern

Room felt like it needed some updating, bathroom tiles and cracks, there were a few bugs too (roley poley ones- not sure what else to call them) and toilet seat felt like it didn’t feel the toilet, some limescale as well. Bedding could be better as well but was ok!

Great location and beautiful! Great that there is car park and various rooms in the hotel. Shower was lovely, bed was comfortable and nice to have the table and chairs, and biscuits were nice touch.

    Weekend in Bath

Bath is not a cheap city and hotel is therefore not cheap - it is average value for money. It is actually quite a distance from the centre up a pretty steep hill so if you have any mobility issues, not for you. Hotel charges for parking which seemed pretty unreasonable though there is not enough parking anyway so hotel can probably just it on a 'supply and demand' logic. Have been travelling to Bath fairly frequently for 25 years and two trends to think about: 1. As Bath has now become a very anti-car place, this poses a problem for visitors in hotels like this so think carefully when you choose 2. Bath is now a BIG Hen Night destination so most hotels will have cava-fuelled Hen parties. It was a bit of a surprise to find people drinking in the hallway as we tried to get to our room at the Lansdown, -as I think the hotel would see itself as pretty sophisticated- though I suspect many Bath hotels will have the same issues.

Breakfast was good. Very nice room. Hotel is a classic picturesque Bath building so will meet many people's expectations

All members of staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner meals were very tasty. We were part of a group of six and the hotel managed to serve all our meals lovely and hot. Great to have parking on site reasonably priced. Great view from the room. Large bottle of water in the fridge replaced each day.

    Can't think of anything

Food was really good. We like the fact that there were rooms on the ground floor were we could relax. Also appreciated being able to park at the hotel. Large well furnished bedroom. Another bonus for us was that there was a good bus service into town

There could have been more milk provided on the tea tray and possibly more tea options eg: some herbal teas included.

This was my second time staying at the Lansdown Grove Hotel and I enjoyed it very much. It's in a great location high above the city, so great views and a feeling of being in a peaceful spot. The gardens are lovely, staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms very comfortable. We had a room with an outside patio which was ideal for relaxing in the sun in a private space. There is an atmosphere of quiet gentility and elegance.

Coffee machine needed descaling and didn’t seem to have been checked in a while. Did feel very expensive with no breakfast and were only basic toiletries, but possibly that was the time of year.

Lovely location, staff were excellent. Clean room and very flexible with check in. Held our bags behind the desk while we went out after checking out and so friendly. Library/sitting areas were lovely.

There wasn't enough parking for everybody so you had to hope a space was vacated to get a parking spot. Parking around the area is all permit parking so you can't leave it on the road.

the location was excellent. An easy walk to the centre of Bath but a quiet area at night. the room and bathroom were excellent - really comfortable and spacious
