It’s in a stunning location Carbis Bay not far from St Ives, walk to the end of the street & their are buses that take you into St Ives in 5 mins. The room was small but the bed very comfortable & spacious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice. The host’s are very friendly & suggested lots of attractions to visit in the area. I recommend this B & B when visiting Cornwall.

The location is excellent. Short walk from the nearest train station. Short train ride or leisure coastal walk to St Ives. The sea view from the bedroom window is golden. Tasty breakfast and cream tea.

Would have preferred a normal sized ironing board as the travel one was a bit tricky when ironing a long dress.

Good quality breakfast, generous with additions - impossible to go hungry, brill location, loved the honesty bar and terrace, staff very friendly and attentive.

I honestly cannot think of anything that the hosts could do to improve the Lamorna short of putting it right on the beach lol.

Arrived tired after a non stop 4 hour drive from Wales and was met by our smiling host Joanne who served us tea,coffee and biscuits. We are a well travelled couple who have stayed at some nice places around the world and the Lamorna is right up there with them. The Lamorna was very homely, clean and nothing was to much trouble, and when I return to St Ives next year this will be my base, oh and by the way the full English breakfast is to die for.

Leaving. There was nothing not to like - other than when other people find out about this amazing property and it becomes difficult to book! Again, we were travelling home by coach. After checking out, we were asked if we wanted to leave our bags at the property so that we could go out and enjoy our last day. We returned in the afternoon as we didn't want to be a burden after having such a lovely stay, Joanne asked us what time our coach was then asked why we were back so soon before our departure and insisted we left them a little longer so we were not carrying them around. The hosts are so genuine, accommodating and such lovely people. Anyone that has something not to like needs to ask themselves what was wrong.

Where do I start ? Even before we arrived Richard and Joanne met needs we didn't even know that we had. We travelled by coach and arrived quite some time prior to check in, they couldn't have been more welcoming. They allowed us to leave our bags at the property so that we didn't have to carry them round with us until check in time, greeted us with a drink of our choice and even offered us breakfast. Through out the whole stay we were made to feel nothing short of welcome and at home. The pride and professionalism of them both was phenomenal. We we're given recommendations of places to visit and places to eat, the food served to us for breakfast was home cooked and thoroughly enjoyable with an extensive choice. I would recommend Lamorna Lodge to everyone looking to escape the city and relax. I was lost for words on the hospitality, none invasive host, and how aphetically beautiful the property was - the images on here do it no justice.

room a bit on the small side shower room very small and water pressure too low Overall Decor probably needs updating but why fix it if it already works As i said above please improve the breakfast by providing fresh hot toast and use fresh mushrooms

plus points location is beautiful parking is good nice breakfast (apart from the mushrooms) and toast should be served fresh and warm great coffee and tea great host

There's is nothing we didn't like

This guest house is run by a lovely yorkshire couple.Joanne welcomed us when we got there and also every morning.. breakfast was beautiful, you could have unlimited tea,coffee & toast with butter,jam or Joanne's homemade marmalade..on offer was also full English, cereal,continental, fish & bolied egg & soldiers 😋 definitely value for money.. the rooms were lovely and clean, ours was a Seaview which was beautiful.. the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis with tea & coffee topped up and beds made.. This guest house also does afternoon tea and has a lounge with a bar, which is a self serve honesty bar.. At the end of our stay I also purchased a couple of jars of Joanne's homemade marmalade.. lovely place to stay and I can't thank Joanne enough for making our stay a pleasure..she is very friendly and made time for all her guests. I would also like to thank Richard for our lovely cooked breakfast and porridge.. we didn't get to meet Richard as he was in the kitchen and busy afterwards.. I'm sure he's also a lovely chap as he's from Yorkshire.. We will definitely stay again at Lamorna Lodge.

The room felt a little on the small side.

It was beautifully decorated with lovely views looking towards the sea. The host was very helpful and sociable and the breakfast was first class.
