Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReally really enjoyed our stay here and the following is not a complaint but my personal observations. Although the living area was ok for 2 people it could have been cramped for 4 . Bearing in mind this is a self catering unit the equipment was minimal. We were only there for 3 nights and I would definitely return, but now I know what isn't there I would certainly take some of my own stuff with me. I go self catering because I don't want to go out to eat all the time and I am happy to cook. There is masses of space there to accommodate a few serving dishes, bowls, storage containers, foil, etc. Had we been there longer it would have been difficult. Take washing machine pods/powder with you.
Fantastic position Bedrooms and Bathroom lovely Easy Parking Hot Tub Easy Outside Eating Lovely big fridge Great Pub...good food, a few doors away. Good Beach-side Café/Brasserie about a mile or so down the road... super food Comfortable beds Loads of towels

United KingdomWe didn’t have a good sea view which we had hoped for (because of a house in front of the property as well as the car park)
It was a very clean property, cosy and comfortable. Loved the hot tub. Location to the sea and good restaurants- fabulous!

United KingdomNot a dislike at all, but be sure you know which cottage or villa you’re booking. There are six or seven of them.
Spotless clean. Sunset out the front door. Beach across the street. Did I mention spotless clean?

United KingdomEach cottage has a designated parking space and this can become an issue if someone parks badly or has more than one vehicle. There is a free public car park a little way down the road and we ended up parking in there one night which shouldn't really have been necessary. This could be more of an issue when all the cottages are fully-booked. There's no privacy if you are sitting in the garden. (There are no back gardens as the properties back into a hill).
The cottage is in a lovely location - just across the road from a lovely beach with the most amazing sunsets. The road is reasonably busy during the day but this dies down in the evenings. Even at its busiest, there were very few people on the beach. Those that were tended to be at the end furthest from La Pulente where the restaurants are. The property itself was immaculate - everything looked new. The beds were very comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised that someone came in mid-week to change towels and do a quick clean. This property also provided tea towels, bin bags, toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, a few dishwasher tablets, a couple of washing machine pods, a few tea bags, some coffee pods and some milk. We loved coming off the beach (water was cold) and into the hot tub. We also could have had use of the facilities on the Les Ormes main site which was about ten minutes drive away. The front garden area has two sun loungers, a hot tub, a large outdoor table with benches, a cantilevered umbrella and a kettle barbecue. The beds in the bunk room are adult sized. There's a downstairs toilet with washbasin next to the bunk room. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower. The smaller double (two singles together) has the family bathroom directly opposite with toilet, bath, over-bath shower and washbasin. There's a largish storage cupboard on the landing for storing suitcases. I think there's a collapsible cot in there as well as ironing board and iron. There's a hairdryer in the main bedroom. The nearest supermarkets/shops are about 5 minutes up the road in Red Houses or St Peter where there's a large CoOp. Staks is about 100m up the road - great ribs, moules et frites and large kebabs. Great views from the balcony! Coffee hut on slipway below cottage. Le Braye, El Tico's and Sands are close to the beach, a little drive down the road but are great places to eat.
