You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAlthough the location is great, being on foot the hill up to the accommodation may be challenging or tiring with luggage for some.... It's not horrendous just something to be aware of. Those pesky seagulls as they were the only noise in the evening I heard, they can annoy you when you are not used to hearing them, but it is the seaside after all!!!
The location was good for the beach and leisure park with loads of food choices available for your evening meal. Turning left out of the accommodation (this helps avoid the hill) is a short walk through the park with steps and ramps, this was a very enjoyable walk to reach the beach and amusements. The accommodation was nice and quiet as the street is not on the main road. The breakfast was lovely with good ingredients and very well cooked. It was nice to feel welcomed by the hosts.

Just a note for international travellers who have never used those types of doors. I was struggling to lock the door when I didn’t need to. Apart from that no complaints at all.

GermanyI have booked three nights at Kingsmere Guest House to go hiking in the area. Paul, the owner, gave me a very warm welcome and made me feel like home right away. Although I disqualified myself not recognizing Bruce Springsteen, he was available whenever needed and took a very good care of everything :-) Breakfast was outstanding and definitely the highlight of my stay. You have lots of options to chose from and everything is being prepared fresh in the nearby kitchen. I even had a chance to meet another family member during my last breakfast and enjoy some Paw Patrol :-) I had some very nice days in South Shields and can recommend the Kingsmere Guest House anytime!
