The main point that let this hotel down was the lack of hot water in the bathroom. The shower was freezing on the day we arrived. We phoned reception, she said she would check the boiler and call us back but never did. The bath had hot water however so we made that work. I the morning, the water was freezing in the shower and the bath. Again we phoned and she said she would call back but never did.

The location was excellent and the hotel was lovely and clean. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the bar was lovely. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel itself was pretty good and the stay was okay. The staff is pretty good. The guy at the bar is super super nice. However coming from Japan, the facilities weren’t as good as they should have been. 1. No slippers available 2. No toothbrush/paste available (luckily I brought mine with me) 3. Broken elevator 4. In case of shower, the hot water wasn’t that hot and sometimes would come at all forcing me to take cold shower The hotel however was super clean and the breakfast was nice as well.

Decent Breakfast (apart from no eggs ready) but poor communication. Told on arrival that Breakfast was on ground floor. Waited 15 minutes downstairs, only to finally be told, it was back on floor 2 where our room was??

The heater in the room was all on full temperature, and due to it's location behind the curtain we hadn't noticed it and ended up getting overheated at night. This issue was mostly on us, but more obvious heating control (or it not being left on maximum before we arrived) would have improved our stay

Very kind staff, great value for money and a spacious comfortable room. It had all the facilities we needed for a short stay.

Breakfast wasn't the best,came out as a children's portion, good 45 minute wait for it to come out Poor choice, only one person on doing everything, cleaning tables, serving breakfast, taking orders, there was only 16 tables in restaurant, for the amount of rooms to the hotel, people were waiting for tables to become available, so they could seat down

Disappointed in both breakfasts - Buffet Breakfast did not serve pancakes although showed as available online and coffee was really, really strong and tepid on reaching my room. Only 2 small pats of butter supplied for toast....just a scraping really. Cooked Breakfast included 1 mushroom not cooked through, half a tomato grilled pus 3 veggie sausages and toast only grilled on one side !! Not impressed with this and left feeling quite hungry. Coffee as above...could not drink it.

Room was comfortable and quiet, tea, coffee etc available, plenty of towels...lift to my floor. The staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful.

bed covers had bloodstains on them. and on the lamp. breakfast wasn’t good at all, it was advertised to be a buffet, but when i went no staff made any effort to welcome me or tell me what to do, so all i could have was cereal.

The lack of parking spaces. It was quite a long way to walk with suitcases on a cold January night in a place I don’t know. I was also disappointed that we didn’t have a bath as this was an advertised feature of the Standard Double Room booked.

The bed was comfortable and overall, the stay was very good value for money. The breakfast was varied and really enjoyable.

Plug in sink was stuck in down position. Pressure of shower with hot water was weak. Curtain plinth was broken. light switch didnt work on one side of the bed. ripped wallpaper.

The layout of the building was like a maze, up, down and round to get to your room, room was very small, took ages to get warm and the shower only got lukewarm

We had to use the lift to the 2nd floor,then we had to climb 25 stairs to get to our floor level. We are both in our 70s carrying our luggage and we both have health issues.

Found two small bags in bathroom that had white power still in them.drugs defo. Was a shock to find them. Fire alarm went off the night we were staying.Stood outside for half hour then let back in with no staff to explain whot happened or sorry it went off.
