Hard to find the car park & noises fan early in the morning, twin beds was very small , but we was offered a double when we arrived

bed covers had bloodstains on them. and on the lamp. breakfast wasn’t good at all, it was advertised to be a buffet, but when i went no staff made any effort to welcome me or tell me what to do, so all i could have was cereal.

The lack of parking spaces. It was quite a long way to walk with suitcases on a cold January night in a place I don’t know. I was also disappointed that we didn’t have a bath as this was an advertised feature of the Standard Double Room booked.

The bed was comfortable and overall, the stay was very good value for money. The breakfast was varied and really enjoyable.

Plug in sink was stuck in down position. Pressure of shower with hot water was weak. Curtain plinth was broken. light switch didnt work on one side of the bed. ripped wallpaper.

The stairs to the third floor, I have mobility issues, but in fairness I should have said so at reception and asked for another room.

The hotel restaurant is now closed and food is limited to bar food menu in the bar area.

Central location, clean comfortable room, secure under-cover car park and friendly staff.

The layout of the building was like a maze, up, down and round to get to your room, room was very small, took ages to get warm and the shower only got lukewarm

We had to use the lift to the 2nd floor,then we had to climb 25 stairs to get to our floor level. We are both in our 70s carrying our luggage and we both have health issues.

Found two small bags in bathroom that had white power still in them.drugs defo. Was a shock to find them. Fire alarm went off the night we were staying.Stood outside for half hour then let back in with no staff to explain whot happened or sorry it went off.

Breakfast, it was served in an area near reception, not the lovely dining room. Not enough staff available to keep everything topped up, take orders, serve.

Big, well cleaned and equipped room. Car park under the hotel and only £5 for 24hrs. Hotel in the centre of town, near shops, bars and restaurants.

Lighting in the room very subdued, could do with a brighter light available.

Bed was not comfortable, there was a dip in the middle which made for a restless night. Breakfast choice was poor for the price. I ordered the scotch pancakes to be told there wasnt any so i ordered the porridge which was quite frank unedible so i ended up paying £15 for a cup of coffe and 2 toast. I would not have the breakfast again.

It’s not a dislike and it didn’t affect my stay as I travelled alone, but there wasn’t much floor space around the bed. May be worth considering if travelling as a couple or for longer than one night, but it wouldn’t put me off.

The lift was out of order between the 2nd and 3rd floor, which was an inconvenieance, as my mother in law has a heart condition. However, a room change was offered, but the alternative room only had a shower.

Cosy room, with ensuite bath. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Comfortable bed.

The toilet didn’t flush and the reception said the maintenance didn’t come on shift till Monday and the car park was small although we did get a spot.

Breakfast system felt a bit messy. A menu card on each table stating what was available to be cooked to order and then ordered from the bar would have been good. Two poached eggs on a plate and then get your own toast felt a bit odd.

Lovely welcome from a very helpful receptionist on arrival. Hotel layout well explained so helping us locate our room.

having booked the hotel, despite some lovely pre-prepared messages about secure parking and easy access, the harsh reality which we were not warned about, was the fact the road had been dug up outside and access was very poor with no provided parking, just a message at the desk to an alternative. Shame as I would have changed hotel! In addition, no they did not give rooms close to my son's in fact it could not have been further away. Not my choice next time!
