Shower pressure was not great but water was warm so not a huge issue.

Refusal to accept cash is not good enough. Other pubs in town accept cash, so the excuse given of no local banks doesn't hold water.

A few niggles with regards to cleanliness (lots of dead flies on the windowsill next to our table for the evening meal) but otherwise cannot fault this place and would stay again.

Fabulous location, friendly staff and a lovely view over the market square from the room. Plenty of parking in the main square. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious.

The only very minor thing I could mention in the 'What didn't you like section' is that on this visit I stayed in the main building (on my previous stay I stayed in one of the rooms in the courtyard with a walk in shower). The room I stayed in in the main building had a bath with a shower head that was a little low to comfortably use.

2nd stay in this hotel working locally. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, breakfast was made to order and very good with lots of choice, parking available right opposite the hotel, evening meals were great, free Wi-Fi with login. Everything you need in one place, would highly recommend.

On the day we arrived there were a group of young men drinking in the reception area. As the group grew larger and the beer flowed one or two made much use of the ‘f’ word.

Breakfast was very good. The staff (Gaye and Chris) were friendly, welcoming, efficient and good humoured.

Woken up at 1am by false fire alarm and noisy neighbours on the second night. A few cob webs on the high beams.

Quirky loft room with low beams, only banned my head a few times 😁. Great food and great drinks. Would definitely go again.

I stayed 2 nights in lovely Masham. The hotel is on the market square, with plenty of parking available. There is an honesty box in the square and in the Kings Head to pay for the parking. Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The food was good both in the evening and breakfast, with the later served from 07.00am. The breakfast, is cooked to order and did not get served till 07.35am on the first morning. However, when I spoke about needing to get away quickly in the morning, they told me to come down five minutes earlier, which solved the problem. The room was comfortable with free wifi. I would thoroughly recommend the Kings Head at Masham, and would definitely stay here again.

Fire alarm activated at 1am. Our keys opened several doors and our friends keys did the same (we discovered this after accidentally opening the wrong door and walked straight into someone else's room)

Food menu in the room didn't reflect the menu in the dining room. Wasn't easy to get a table for dinner even though we were guests. It was either very late or too early. It was a B/H weekend so it would have been helpful if the hotel had messaged to inform us that tables would be limited and then we could have pre-booked.

The breakfast staff. Lovely, funny man and wife who gave great service. Would go back just for their morning banter.
