A little bit noisy as it was quiz night but I put in the fan and the “white noise” blocked it out.

Great location so close to the train station - just one stop from Stansted Airport and cheaper than the cost of an airport hotel.

The beautiful washbasin in the bathroom was sadly impractical for me as it was at chest height! As the rooms are directly above the pub, this is probably not the choice for an early relaxing night. On Saturday, there was live music until closing time. The floor was literally bouncing with the loudness of the speakers. Of course, if instead you go with the flow and join in, then it's no problem. :)

I booked the kings arms for its proximity to the train station but it turned out to be the best stay of our holiday. A simply lovely room above a lively pub (food's good too), with exposed beams, a low doorway and a fireplace. The bed was really comfy, the bath a nice change for a relaxing soak, and the bathrobes and slippers a delightful surprise. Basic breakfast provisions are provided in the room (cereals, milk, tea and coffee and yummy biscuits) along with a small fridge where we stored our own provisions.

The room was dirty around the edges, corners and behind desk/bed, accumulated dust and grime, could be fixed easily.

The location for travel up and down the line to LDON and North Essex is good, and good access to Stansted airport.

the room this time was quite clostraphobic only had one small window that you couldn't see from the bed

it's not our first visit this year we were in a different room last time ate in the restaurant again and had a lovely meal as before staff very friendly will definitely stay again when flying so close to Stansted parking

Not much wrong for the price. The outer door to the accommodation stuck but that’ll be fixed. Breakfast is a small in- room selection of cereals and a tea maker. Otherwise fine.

Light breakfast in room, but housekeeping did not attend during second day to remove used crockery and replenish milk and tea bags etc . Bar staff rectified promptly though. I had room 2 and a tad noisy from road , woken a little earlier than I would have liked , ear plugs remedied this second night .

A little more milk would have been nice. I put up the ironing board to use and sliced my finger on the metal underneath. The lady downstairs cleaning was very lovely and helpful, she found me a plaster.

Lovely cosy room with all we could possibly need. Comfortable bed, great shower, staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed for two nights and it was perfect! We also ate at the pub and the food was great.

Just keep in mind that it is an old building so the steps are a bit steep and the entrance way to the room is a bit low. These were fine with us, and gave the place character, but something to consider if you have mobility issues or are very tall.

A lovely room above a tavern. Check-in was smooth, and everything was as described. One train stop from Stansted airport. Thoughful touches like robes and slippers, a great meal downstairs, and a convenience store next door. Bed was very comfortable and the bottles of water in the refrigerator and couple of small snacks were much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay, Thank you!

Small room and compact shower area, difficult for the Hotel as you can only do what you can do with limited space. Hotel details should perhaps comment on the slopy ceilings and compact nature of the space. We had breakfast bowls and a limited cereals selection for breakfast in the room but no milk in the Fridge which was odd, We feel this room was a little overpriced and really for the money should include a proper breakfast, this is after all a pub with catering facilities.

Very small room with limited head height but perfectly kitted out and spotlessly clean, located in the centre of Stansted near other facilities.

The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The pub had excellent food. It was a great place to stay before a flight from stansted.
