The smell in the hotel on entering was not good and could be improved with plug in air fresheners or scented candles. There were 2 coaches arriving with set menus prepared for dinner - on request staff were not sure of same menu prices for guests outwith coach party - staff should be made aware of set menu prices.

Breakfast could have been better with a proper toaster and coffee machine - there were no teaspoons around or butter on our table but the cooked breakfast was good.

Rather disorganised and it was a typical “tour bus” hotel - which is fine as a business model but means other guests needs are sometimes overwhelmed by the tour parties.

The room was very very old, and not so clean. The bed was too soft. The bathroom required urgent renovation, the sink was still with separated faucets for hot and cold water.

The room was very small and poorly maintained e.g. a hole in the wall caused by the door opening onto it was roughly repaired. The taps in the bathroom splashed water out of the sink and onto my clothing. The shower screen was badly positioned and so the floor ended up getting wet. Breakfast was adequate but there was a lack of choice for those who do not want to eat a cooked breakfast. Tinned fruit salad took me back to the seventies. Jam as well as marmalade would have been welcomed for example. In short, overpriced for what was provided.

The location at the front of the hotel was stunning.

    Dirtiness

I describe stay here like staying at fawlty towers (TV show). We didn’t get our room key for 2 hours and the toilet had been used and not flushed with urine on the floor and mould around the rim of the bath.

The fire doors were very loud and seemed to go on banging periodically through the night, though otherwise it was pleasantly quiet. I was a bit surprised how expensive it was considering it wasn’t a central location, nor particularly large or lavish, though the bath was nice.

Very sweet and cozy with a great view. Perfectly comfortable for a solo traveler.

Clean and functional stay, but needs renovation

The hotel really needs renovation, especially in the bathrooms and some of the furniture, which felt quite outdated and worn. Although everything was in working order, the dated decor and aging fixtures took away from the overall experience. A significant update would greatly improve the look and feel of the hotel. Also, the location isn't very central, so you would need a car to get around.

The place was clean, which made my stay much more comfortable. Everything was functional, and I had no issues with any amenities during my stay. The breakfast was quite good, and I would rate it a 8.5. There were plenty of options, and the quality of the food was very good.

The staff at breakfast ignored us, the head of the waiters was sitting on a chair swinging his leg over the arm of it with his head down on his phone even though we were standing waiting to be seated. Had to ask to be seated, had to ask for the table to be cleaned which a young teenage boy with a grubby white shirt gave one wipe and left crumbs still on the table surface. We were seated at the buffet table and a staff member from the kitchen came out carrying a large plastic see through container with baked beans and then proceeded to empty the buffet hot beans into the cold container which must have been going back into storage!!! I couldn’t then eat my cooked breakfast it looked awful the eggs had blotches in them. I decided just to make toast from the rotary toaster they had but had to ask for bread and marmalade and butter and milk for coffee the coffee was stewed it tasted like the days before. Awful breakfast everything felt unclean and what we paid for the hotel £280.00 for one night!

The room was clean and comfortable the shower worked well. Tea coffee and biscuit facility in room was good.
