    No parking on the site.

Its history and its character has been updated without compromising its charm. The dining room was welcoming with excellent food and wine offerings all reflecting the owners links with South Africa. Good proximity to Salisbury Cathedral.

Creaky floor but it’s an old building. We didn’t hear anyone above us so hopullu we didn’t disturb anyone below.

We had a gorgeous room with the nicest bathroom of our long trip. Deep bath and lovely spacious bathroom made our day. Super comfy bed and plush towels / 2per person. Great location and lovely breakfast it’s a la carte hot options and cold buffet.

Lighting in room rather dingy (characterful?!) and need another lamp by the tea/coffee making area, please!

Immense character, large, fabulous panelled room (6)...like walking into Anne Boleyn's room!...with "hidden" modern en-suite!! Good breakfast, too!

Rooms can be noisy with traffic unless you close windows. There is no lounge to relax in.

Room was spacious with modern fittings. Breakfast good with fresh cooked main dishes. Staff very friendly. Restaurant seemed popular although we had other arrangements already made.

We were okay but the stairs may be a struggle for some.

As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by very welcoming friendly staff. The friendliness and helpfulness continued throughout our visit. Chapter House is a mix of historic charm and modernity. The stairs to the bedrooms are safe but charmingly wonky ( the hotel is 600 years old)! Our bedroom had original beams and beautiful heavy curtains, a very comfortable bed and modern ensuite. We ate in the restaurant and the food was tasty . Breakfast was delicious. Plus, it is so very close to Salisbury Cathedral, shops and pub/ restaurants!

The room itself was lovely but the corridors are a little dated which is a shame as it detracts from the lux feel that you have in the bedroom. There was quite a bit of dust at the top of the bed. I suspect no one had stayed in our room for a few weeks.

Great location for us as we were at a wedding at the cathedral. Lovely big room. With roll top bath in the room and lots of space. Lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is beautiful, and the location is perfect. I stayed in one of the oldest rooms, which had a nice Tudor fireplace. It was a really nice room, and the full English breakfast was delicious as well. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Beware this larger room is on the front of a busy road only a problem if like me you are not used to traffic noise at night. I’m sure the rooms at back of property would be quieter. Will bear this in mind when we look to book again as we plan to return for sure.

Wonderful character throughout this charming old hostelry. Our room 14 was spotless spacious and a divine bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed. Staff were so helpful throughout our stay even the housekeeper helping me with luggage on leaving. Special thank you to you. Yes it has some low beams but once you’ve banged your head you take more care!

Swan towels and petals on the bed have no place in an 800 year old English hotel. Heart sank a bit when we saw them but luckily this was only done on day of arrival.

Staff were brilliant as was the food. Our room had huge comfy bed and pillows. Dyson fan appreciated as it was hot at night. Very nice room, we paid for extra large size which was perfect.
